Job Summary:
- Performs complex investigative work across all allegation types and regions. Prepares and maintains detailed confidential reports and summaries of investigations. Collaborates with other functions and business units to encourage a work environment that enhances the employee experience by creating a safe, trusting, environment. Manages improvements for the overall effectiveness and integrity of the investigations process. Consults and supports investigators, processes, and capabilities for the investigations function aligned to performance goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigates a variety of workplace issues across all business units and regions in an independent, fair, unbiased manner; cases completed accurately, comprehensibly, and timely.
- Documents, investigates, updates, and maintains cases accurately in case management platform.
- Effectively utilizes investigation plans to foster a standardized and thorough investigation.
- Conducts effective interviews or corresponds with relevant parties.
- Uses an advanced understanding of business ethics policies and practices to develop recommendations and determine an appropriate course of action while considering the organizational environment.
- Demonstrates and promotes the company’s culture in all actions; ensures employees are cared for throughout the investigation.
- Take action ensuring that regulatory and compliance requirements are met throughout the investigation.
- Interprets and analyzes trends in investigation data; works with human resources, legal and other appropriate internal and external parties to prepare and present recommended actions to leadership.
- Maintain a position of independence and objectivity throughout the investigation process; maintains a balanced perspective between the company’s and employee’sposition during investigations.
- Utilizes a strong understanding of ethics and compliance and human resources policies and practices to review recommendations and approve or deny course of action while considering the organizational environment.
- Conducts post-close case related cause analysis and triage process with hand-offs to relevant functions for further action.
- Collaborates with Investigations leadership to execute strategic investigation initiatives to achieve a world class investigations organization.
- Delivers training, communications, and other forums to increase skills of investigators and provide best practices.Is a subject matter expert in core investigative processes, procedures and best practices.
- Acts as a key thought partner and mentor to Investigators and Sr. Investigators.
- Performs second-level case quality reviews for fellow investigators.
- Participates in special projects as required.
- Assist Investigation Directors in operational assignments as necessary.

- Values differences - Recognizing the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization.Education, Licenses, Certifications:Bachelor’s degree (required), Master’s degree (preferred) in Human Resources, Business, Criminal Justice or related field or 7+ years of relevant work experience. Yellow belt certification preferred.Experience:5+ years of experience in handling investigations, employee relations matters, Internal Audit or Internal Controls (preferred).
- English language proficiency, as this is our main business language, along with any other languages (TBD by location of role).
QUALIFICATIONS
- The role is responsible for investigations in China and the APAC region.
- The role collaborates with business leaders and HR colleagues (HRBP and People Support) within both regions and works within the greater global investigations team.
- A working understanding of Mandarin and English is required.
- An understanding of regional investigations jurisdictional requirements for both regions is preferred.
The role can be based in China, Singapore or Australia.
