This position will work the evening shift: 3:00 pm - 11:30pm, Monday - Friday.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Sanitation Technician job is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the overall building or equipment and changeover parts. They are also responsible for adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) to maintain the quality and quantity of the products produced.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Cleans equipment, containers, vessels, utensils, processing equipment, slats, and changeover parts using appropriate cleaning methods and materials.
- Ensures that residual material is removed and equipment is thoroughly cleaned.
- Washes slats and changeover parts using a dishwasher, sinks and/or spray hoses with approved detergents.
- Stores cleaned equipment, slats, and changeover parts in a manner that prevents contamination.
- Labels cleaned equipment, slats, and changeover parts with identification indicating their clean status and expiration date.
- Conducts or assists with cleaning and overflow jobs in the Packaging or manufacturing departments.
- Complies with company policies, procedures, and maintains regular work attendance.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
- Ensure bathrooms, lunchrooms, offices, and conference rooms are cleaned, vacuumed, and clear of debris as needed.
- Collect and dispose of garbage throughout facility
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- 0-1 years of experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Prior manufacturing/sanitation experience preferred.
- Ability to follow safety procedures inclusive of Nestle’s Life Saving Rules.
- Physical ability to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs., stand, climb, bend, etc. within a warehouse / manufacturing environment.
- Required to utilize and understand basic digital devices such as computers, iPad, etc.
- Overtime may be required based on business needs.
- Follow SOPs, GMPs and all other company policies and processes.
- Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals and food allergens such as peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish and shellfish.
