About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Workday Reporting Engineer II to take ownership of designing, building, and optimising reporting solutions within Workday. This position is ideal for someone with strong expertise in Workday reporting who thrives in a hands-on development role and enjoys transforming complex data into actionable insights.

The role involves creating scalable, efficient reports and dashboards across multiple Workday modules such as HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Learning, Payroll, Benefits, and Compensation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, ensure data accuracy, and deliver high-quality reporting solutions that empower decision-making and enhance employee experiences.

Candidates should have a proven track record of developing and maintaining Workday reports and dashboards end-to-end, demonstrating both technical depth and operational ownership. Key Responsibilities:

Workday Report Writing:

  • Design and deliver scalable reporting solutions to support strategic HR and business initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain standard, custom, composite, and matrix reports and dashboards across multiple Workday modules including HCM, Recruiting, Talent, Learning, Payroll, Benefits, and Compensation.

  • Build and manage calculated fields, condition logic, and security configurations to ensure accurate and secure data delivery.

  • Collaborate with People Technology and HR teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective Workday reporting solutions.

  • Conduct system testing, troubleshooting, and provide support for reporting-related issues.

  • Ensure data integrity, compliance with internal policies, and adherence to SOX and other regulatory requirements.

  • Proactively research new Workday reporting and analytics features, implementing best practices and innovative solutions.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Reporting, including dashboards, discovery boards, worksheets, and calculated fields.

  • Strong understanding of Workday Security and data governance principles.

  • Proven ability to design and deploy complex reports and dashboards across multiple Workday workstreams.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration abilities.

  • Detail oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other business tools.

  • Discretion when handling highly sensitive data.

Preferred:

  • Certification in Workday Reporting.

  • Experience with BIRT reporting and advanced analytics capabilities.

  • Familiarity with Workday Prism for advanced data modelling and reporting.

  • Knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Tableau and Power BI.

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (Scrum, Agile).

  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing reporting projects.
