The Brokerage Operations team is responsible for establishing and developing best-in-class operations for acquiring and maintaining residential real estate licenses. About the role

Zillow is looking for a Broker for Florida or Georgia! The Broker will be partnering with the existing team to ensure the successful administration of brokerage operations in Florida. This part-time position will assist in all operational elements vital to follow the individual license law, REALTOR® association membership and Board participation, compliance training, and continuing education. This person will have an outstanding track record as a former Broker-in-Charge of a single Brokerage, and an understanding of real estate regulations at a state and local level.

You Will Get To:

  • Advise licensees and internal teams of any changes to state licensing requirements, bylaws or regulations within 24 hours of being made aware. 

  • Understand your state and MLS regulations and adhere to ongoing compliance with company-wide and individual state brokerage operations manuals and agreements

  • Review and monitor reports of licensees licensed under them, flagging anomalies to the Licensing team as needed

  • Partner with Licensing to ensure smooth transition of all brokerage-level licenses as needed

  • Address customer care complaints, provide resolution assistance, handle raised issues, and route inbound inquiries to appropriate teams following the Inbound Communications routing guide (as directed) 

  • Attend and be an active voice in person/virtual MLS, Association, State Commission and industry meetings (as directed)

  • Seek out, apply and join local MLS/Board/Association committees and/or director/leadership position opportunities. (as directed)

  • Build, maintain and support local industry relationships

  • Regularly review and report local MLS news, updates and intel to Industry Affairs team and provide insight on industry attitude towards Zillow Group

  • Candidate must reside primarily in Florida or Georgia for the majority of the year. 

  • Maintain active MLS and association memberships to ensure continuity of data and access across your required states

  • Maintain active state real estate license(s) and keep current on all required continuing education requirements for your respective state(s)

  • Perform contract review to ensure legal and contractual compliance of transactions (As Needed) 

  • Respond within one business day to requests from licensing, MLS, Brokerage Operations, Industry Affairs and all partners both internal and external

  • Be the signing authority for the Zillow Brokerage (as directed) and provide support to the transaction team through tracking, recording and reporting changes in co-listed properties in their state

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

Who you are

  • 2+ years of management or transaction management experience is an asset.

  • Hold and maintain an active real estate broker license in the state of Florida with up to date continuing education credits in real estate, management, and legal compliance

  • Willing to acquire additional broker-level licenses in other states on behalf of Zillow. Inc.

  • An active or former member and participant in designated local and/or state Boards and associations

  • An active current or former member of the National Association of REALTORS (NAR)

  • Willing and able to work 19 hours per week as directed. 

  • Willing and able to comply with Zillow’s policy regarding outside real estate services, including refraining from actively representing buyers or sellers in transactions, collecting commissions or referral fees, or engaging in any other real estate related activities that require your same broker license, for the duration of employment
