    Job Overview

    The Security Engineering Manager leads the Threat Emulation team of security engineers to proactively defend against advanced cyber threats. The team runs and maintains industry best practice processes for threat emulations and red teaming exercises and is responsible for augmenting Relativity’s Insider Threat program. This position serves as a technical liaison between the team and other internal and external development and IT teams to identify, improve and harden the RelativityOne cloud product and Relativity systems.

    The Security Engineering Manager will also be the Incident Manager for the Detection and Response team members in the Poland Relativity Headquarters.

    Job Description and Requirements

    Key Responsibilities: 

    Team Leadership & Global Collaboration 

    • Oversee the daily operations of the Detection & Response team, consisting of engineers located in Poland. 

    • Oversee the daily operations of the Threat Emulation team, consisting of engineers located in Poland. 

    • Foster collaboration within the global team, ensuring smooth handoffs and communication across time zones 

    • Provide mentorship, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities to team members. 

    • Define and maintain metrics to measure team effectiveness and continuously improve operations. 

     

    Threat Detection & Incident Response 

    • Ensure timely detection, analysis, and response to security incidents and threats. 

    • Develop and maintain incident response playbooks, processes, and procedures. 

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate threats and minimize business impact. 

     

    Automation & Tool Configuration 

    • Drive the adoption and implementation of automation to streamline detection and response workflows. 

    • Oversee the configuration, optimization, and maintenance of key security tools such as SIEM, EDR, and other platforms. 

    • Identify and evaluate new technologies to enhance the security toolset. 

     

    Strategy, collaboration & stakeholder engagement 

    • Contribute to the overall security strategy by identifying gaps in current detection and response capabilities. 

    • Develop and deliver reports to senior management on operational performance. 

    • Partner with Engineering, IT, and other business units to ensure alignment on security initiatives. 

    • Act as the point of contact for escalations and coordinate with external partners or third-party vendors as needed. 

    • Foster a culture of security awareness across the organization. 

     

    Insider Threat 

    • Define new requirements for Relativity’s Insider Threat Program. 

    • Collaborate with internal and external teams to implement requirements for Insider Threat Program. 

    Minimum qualifications:  

    • 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including at least 2 years in a leadership role within a SOC, Threat Detection, or Threat Emulation/Offensive Security team. 

    • Strong knowledge of security frameworks, such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, and ISO 27001. 

    • Hands-on technical experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and other cybersecurity tools. 

    • Experience in establishing or running an Insider Threat function 

    • Expertise in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) is highly desirable. Strong teamwork and partnering skills for cross-group collaboration. 

    • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 

    Preferred qualifications: 

    • Experience working in a SaaS environment operating on a global scale, preferably Azure. 

    • Proven ability to lead and motivate technical teams in a global, hybrid work environment. 

    • Exceptional skills in managing and coordinating across time zones to ensure consistent operations.

    This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives.

    The expected salary range for this role is between following values:

    282 000 and 422 000PLN

    The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position.
