We are seeking a Reconciliation Automation – Director. This role will be responsible for understanding the reconciliation process and developing operating and technology strategies, managing and executing transformation initiatives, driving innovation, developing analytics solutions and delivering business outcomes.

The candidate will work closely with reconciliation team in understanding the automation opportunities and executing sustainable solutions. Along with automation initiatives the candidate will liase with custodians on breaks, liaising with Technology/vendor on any swift load issue, downloading statements from custodian websites for non-swift enabled custodians.
 

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships.  This is an Team Specialist position at Director level within the Product Support & Services IM, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Manage complex processes and/or support significant process management/project efforts
  • Lead in process improvement, project management or technology development and testing across multiple teams and/or divisions
  • Analyse and expose ambiguous, complex issues or non-standard issues, identify risks, root causes and propose future actions, tracking through to resolution
  • Liese with custodians on aged breaks, understand the themes and execute proactive measures in fixing the root cause
  • Work with reconciliation team, technology, vendor on data load process > Relevant change management, Project management or Investment operations experience
  • Ability to assess current state and future state requirements
  • Document future state process flows, incorporating requirements and obtain stakeholder signoffs
  • Understanding and implementation of AI, experience in power tools like Power BI, Alteryx, UI path, VBA macros
  • Ability to operate independently with respect to most job responsibilities
  • Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback and innovate processes
  • Strong communication skills - clear, concise, and appropriate method of delivery
  • Strong team player, with ability to manage deliverables on tight deadlines
  • Strong overview ability
  • Collaborative team player with a strong work ethic that works effectively in cross-functional team environment
     

What you'll bring to the role: 

  • Strong analytical, organizational and documentation skills
  • Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities.
  • Exhibit a strong sense of urgency, accountability, ownership
  • Has the ability to absorb information and learn quickly
  • Ability to follow-up and work with teams at off-site/remote locations
  • Relevant prior experience in reconciliations will be an added advantage
  • High degree of computer literacy, including working knowledge of Windows-based applications
  • Financial product basic knowledge on Equities, Fixed income, Mutual funds is a must
