Job Description

The Associate Director, HCP Marketing, serves as a strategic leader responsible for designing and executing impactful healthcare provider (HCP) marketing initiatives to drive brand growth and engagement in the U.S. market. Managing 1-2 direct reports, this individual leads annual brand planning, HCP segmentation, omni-channel digital strategies, non-personal promotion, and sales force alignment.

The Associate Director will engage and collaborate with a broad cross-functional team including medical, regulatory, legal, public affairs, managed care, medical and compliance and external partners such as media and creative agencies, expert physicians and advocacy organizations.  Close partnership with the direct to consumer (DTC) marketing team and associated internal marketing teams is also required.

The Associate Director will manage the professional marketing budget inclusive of non-working and working media to drive the business goals for the brand in the U.S.  The Associate Director must demonstrate the ability to influence and lead cross-functionally to ensure all elements of professional marketing are rooted in strategy and consistent across all touchpoints. Critical to the role will be exceptional leadership abilities, modern marketing acumen and ability to develop strong relationships. The candidate must demonstrate effective skills in leading people and projects, and the ability to deliver quality performance in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Specific responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of integrated HCP marketing strategies and programs that align with brand and business objectives
  • Drive annual brand planning, informed by market segmentation and key insights
  • Oversee execution of digital, non-personal, and omnichannel campaigns in alignment with sales force efforts
  • Manage, coach, and develop direct reports; foster a high-performance team culture
  • Optimize the professional marketing budget, ensuring fiscal discipline and maximizing resource impact
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver cohesive and compliant campaigns
  • Guide media mix strategy and campaign execution
  • Ensure all activities adhere to regulatory and legal requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Proven marketing experience with increased proficiency in all marketing skills.
  • Previous cross franchise/cross channel marketing experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • MBA or related Master’s Degree preferred
  • Marketing/brand management experience executing marketing campaigns with preferred experience in pharma or CPG marketing
  • Exceptional leadership skills and marketing savvy; Agency Management experience preferred
  • Strong creative and conceptual thinking skills
  • Solid business acumen and ability to translate business and brand strategy into marketing programs
  • Strong written and interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various levels/grades within the organization.
  • Proven digital marketing prowess
  • Strong budget management experience
  • Self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Flexible, adaptable and able to navigate fast-changing environment
