Job Description

The Expedia B2C FP&A team is seeking a talented Senior Finance Manager. This role will provide analytical support to senior executives, own FP&A for our Marketing channel investments, forecasting, variance analysis, and sophisticated financial modeling. In this highly visible role, you will develop expert working knowledge of the business and its relationship to financial performance, serving as a subject matter expert on Marketing within the B2C FP&A team.

In this role, you will:

  • Own FP&A for Worldwide Marketing on Expedia's B2C FP&A team, including core processes like forecasting, annual operating plans, month-end close processes, variance analysis and story-telling, and organizational goals.

  • Develop a keen analytical eye, create robust financial reporting and analyses, and provide reliable decision-making tools to help inform senior leadership decisions.

  • Communicate clearly and effectively across a matrixed organization spanning marketing channels, brands, and geographies.

  • Influence systems and process improvements for our financial tools and calculations, partnering with finance, technology, product, marketing, and other leaders.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and be a thought partner to them to drive step change improvements in our processes.

  • Drive automation and process improvements of Marketing and other central FP&A processes and future improvements.

  • Define, track, and drive automation of KPIs.

  • Lead and establish cadence for finance communication through messaging and collaboration tools.

  • Define and implement process documentation.

  • Create ad-hoc presentations and analyses for senior leadership.

  • Be flexible in a dynamic work environment and be willing to do what it takes to help the team win.

Experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field; or equivalent related professional experience.

  • 8+ years of relevant experience with increasing levels of responsibility for Bachelor's degree holders (6+ years for Master's).

  • You possess exceptional verbal and written communication, including C-suite communications & presentations; experience with internal communications is a plus.

  • You are passionate about making a difference and leading change through process improvements and automation.

  • You have proven ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of flexibility and accountability, in a constantly fast-evolving environment.

  • You take pride in your analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • You are a data driven, change agent and have proven skills to build and lead impact cross-functional teams, value diverse perspectives and deliver business results.

  • You are self-driven, detail oriented, and possess strong organizational skills, including time-management and prioritization.

  • You have the ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to our goals of inclusion.

  • Experience with Hyperion Essbase and Oracle Financials or similar tools; Proficiency in advanced Excel and financial modeling.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $155,000.00 to $217,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $248,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
