Skills and Competencies
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Accounting, Auditing, or Billing, with a strong analytical and problem-solving background.
- Critical thinker with sound judgment, able to proactively articulate views and resolve challenges with a results-driven mindset.
- Efficient and adaptable, capable of managing changing priorities, working under pressure, and delivering results with urgency.
- Strong proficiency in written and verbal English communication, with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively.
- Foundational knowledge of artificial intelligence to support innovation and contribute to team initiatives, along with familiarity with SAP and Salesforce platforms.
- Understanding of client portal processes (e.g., Ariba, Coupa) to streamline workflow and enhance client interactions.
Education
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or other business discipline.
Responsibilities
The Senior Billing Analyst plays a key role in supporting the Billing Mission Statement by developing subject matter expertise and a deep understanding of complex business rules, products, and system applications. Reporting to Billing Leadership, this role involves contributing to projects and routine activities focused on process improvements, procedural documentation, control measures, and performance metrics.
The position primarily supports the global team by driving projects aimed at enhancing processes and controls. It requires close collaboration with departments such as Finance, Commercial, GMO, and Sales to streamline workflows and reinforce control frameworks.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of invoices while maintaining compliance with SOX revenue controls.
- Develop expertise in managing complex or high-value invoicing tasks, adjustments, and customer queries.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Commercial, Finance, and Sales teams) to deliver high-quality invoicing and query resolutions for internal and external customers.
- Gain a thorough understanding of invoicing applications, cancellations, queries, and month-end close processes (e.g., accruals).
- Support team goals, track progress, and contribute to ad hoc projects as needed.
- Assist in implementing new or updated business processes by reviewing and revising operational guidelines, metrics, and controls, and represent the Customer Billing team in relevant internal meetings.
About the team
The Customer Billing team provides high-quality invoicing to external customers and supplies key business partners with critical data for strategic planning/streamline processes. This function directly affects financial outcomes, including revenue recognition and regulatory reporting.
