The internship with the Cummins HSE department will provide the intern exposure to real business with regards our HSE policies and processes in keeping the working environment safe and efficient. The intern is be given hands-on opportunity to understand and develop improvement plans and expected to identify and provide analysis and suggestions to the current process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the relevant operations’ functional managers and team leaders on process and systems improvements catering to HSE. (PIV, ergonomics, contractor management programs.
- Work with the environmental committee on site for various improvements regarding disposal methodology and methods of improving 3Rs (Reduce reuse, recycle).
- Review current process of HSE key metrices compilation for area of improvements.
- Be trained and competent to delivery HSE training. (Review HSE training needs improvements and competencies).
- Assist the site HSE manager on execution of regulatory required programs for site (WSHcommittee, inspections, TMP processes)

QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Qualification:
- Education: Diploma and or Nitec in Environmental/ Engineering / Health & Safety, similar diploma in related field.
- Experience: Knowledge of warehousing is an advantage.
- Technical skills: competent in using Microsoft office, able to perform data analysis. UnderstandRisk assessment methodology is a plus.
- Soft skills: Analytical, problem solving, transversal collaboration and communication skills.
