Title: Assc Dir- Analytics & Modeling
Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007
Duties: Conduct sophisticated theoretical and empirical research on measurements of credit risk, enterprise risk management, and fixed income valuation. Coordinate with financial researchers and data scientists on
research projects. Provide analytical and technical support to prototype development, model implementation, and software engineering teams. Present research findings to technical and non-technical audiences. Partner with clients in analyzing and managing portfolio risks and assist with educating and implementing risk management technology. Apply expertise in financial markets, econometrics, and statistical modeling techniques, and perform coding and data analysis using R, Python, and SQL.
Requirements: Requires a Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a closely related quantitative field. Must have academic training or experience in each of the following: performing data analysis and retrieval in SQL; utilizing programming tools such as R or Python; data mining and
machine learning with large financial data; performing financial and statistical modeling; conducting research in financial accounting, actuarial science, asset pricing and/or corporate finance; working with financial databases; and international and local accounting standards such as IFRS and US GAAP for both corporates and banks.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $157,581 to $230,900/yr, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
