Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) is Visa's consulting division, serving Visa's clients (including card issuers, acquirers and merchants) and solving their strategic problems focused on improving performance and profitability. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, payments, data analytics, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, VCA drives high impact and tangible financial results. Implementation Services (VMS) is one arm of VCA focused on delivering capability and expertise to clients.

What a Manager, Data Labs does at Visa:

VIS Data Labs services our clients by executing and implementing data projects for Visa clients.

Core responsibilities of the role include:

  • Independently own the end-to-end design and delivery of data pipelines supporting analytics platform deployment
  • Build scalable, production‑grade data pipelines, ensuring robustness, security, and adherence to engineering best practices
  • Define and maintain data governance, technical design, and operational documentation to support platform sustainability
  • Analyze large, complex datasets using SQL, Python, Spark, and statistical techniques to generate actionable insights
  • Develop and apply statistical and data science models to support portfolio optimization and performance strategy use cases
  • Translate business and analytical requirements into production‑ready data and modeling solutions
  • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and analytical layers using BI platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, QlikView
  • Implement automation, reusable components, and self‑service capabilities to improve efficiency and scalability
  • Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams (VCA, Data Labs, VIS, Technology) to deliver integrated solutions
  • Ensure solutions meet quality, performance, and scalability standards while promoting data and analytics best practices

Why this is important to Visa:

This role will be vital in the growth of our Data as a Service business across Asia Pacific. The role will help to scale, diversify and transform our Implementation Services Data Labs capabilities which will support Visa’s business in the region. You will evolve our Data Services to drive uptake and delivery of Data projects. You will own key internal and external stakeholder relationships with Visa teams and our vendors as well as supporting our clients.

Projects you will be a part of:

  • This role will play a critical role in delivering our data services to Visa clients through Implementation Services, a new business line which is in high demand from our clients. Once established in our initial clients, this role will support the scaling of these services across other markets in AP.
  • The nature of projects in this role will focus on creating impactful data narratives, collaborating across multiple parties to identify client data opportunities and enabling the sales and delivery of such projects. The team will also be involved in collaborating with regional VIS, data science and data engineering teams.     

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.            


Qualifications

What you will need:
A bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, engineering or related fields.
A minimum of four years' work experience in a data science role, specifically with a background in payments solutions and advanced data science.
A minimum of two years’ work experience in a data engineering role, specifically with a background in financial industry.
Extensive proficiency in data science techniques, usage of programming languages such as Python, Spark, Hadoop/Hive for model development, data processing, data preparation in building pipelines for model deployment
A proven track record demonstrating an ability to manipulate, process, and extract value from extensive datasets at scale.
Striking communication skills, showcasing an ability to translate complex technical data into compelling narratives.
Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint presentations.

What will also help:
Ideally worked in a partnerships or business development roles.
Experiencing in building data preparation pipeline with exposure to ETL tools and ML Ops
Solid evidence of experience in managing, analyzing, and implementing insights from large datasets.
A comprehensive understanding and familiarity with current industry trends and advancements in data science.
