Job DescriptionYour Role
As the Traditional Investment Compensation Manager, you will be at the forefront of managing global incentive programs for our Traditional Investment teams. Your role involves close collaboration with Investment Executives and HR Business Partners, where you will influence and shape comprehensive compensation programs, including base salary, bonuses, and long-term incentives. Your exceptional relationship-building skills and proven credibility will be pivotal in driving the success of our business.
You will be a key contributor in the Global Compensation team, making a significant impact beyond traditional investment compensation. Your contributions will actively support the successful execution of compensation plans for our investment teams and the broader Invesco organization.
What you would be responsible for:
- Lead Compensation Programs: Drive the success of our investment teams by managing comprehensive compensation programs.
- Market Expertise: Stay ahead of the curve by understanding local markets and practices to ensure competitive compensation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with top executives, business management, and HR Business Partners to align compensation strategies with business goals. Partner with business leaders to enhance our investment compensation programs through streamlined processes and robust analytics.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with colleagues from Investment Risk’s Performance organization and Finance to deliver seamless end-to-end processes for our compensation programs.
- Senior Leadership Engagement: Develop and nurture strong relationships with senior leaders to provide exceptional employee experiences.
- Comprehensive Analysis: Conduct in-depth analyses of all compensation components, including base salary, bonuses, and long-term incentive plans. Model compensation plans to assess financial and competitive impacts.
- Incentive Accruals: Lead the quarterly investment incentive accrual process, working closely with Finance and Investment Performance Oversight functions.
- Hiring and Retention: Perform competitive analyses to support hiring and retention of senior investment professionals.
- Strategic HR Support: Collaborate with HR Business Partners to influence business management during the annual compensation planning cycle, ensuring outcomes that support pay-for-performance.
- Team Collaboration: Work with other Compensation team members to support compensation topics beyond traditional investments.
- Knowledge Sharing: Share insights, knowledge, and best practices with global Compensation colleagues.
- Survey Participation: Participate in the submission of compensation data to various surveys.
Experience you bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- 7+ years of Compensation experience, with specific experience with investment incentive plans
- Previous experience in financial services (asset management), required
- Strong consulting skills required
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Ability to work independently; determine necessary analyses, conduct and/or manage analyses and make plan design recommendations; demonstrated project management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to influence business leaders at all levels
- Ability to work in a global team environment; work well with others inside and outside the company
