Skills and Competencies

Technical Skills:

• Basic programming knowledge, especially in SQL
• Data handling and organization
• Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI
• Familiarity with automation tools, such as Power Automate, is a plus

Analytical and Problem-Solving:

• Ability to evaluate and improve policies and procedures
• Strong attention to detail for accurate data handling and testing

Communication and Collaboration:

• Clear communication of ideas and findings
• Teamwork and willingness to learn from others

Education 

• Currently pursuing a degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) discipline (penultimate year of Bachelor’s or Master’s)
• Fluency in English
• Program Duration: 10 weeks, starting on June 15 and ending on August 21

Responsibilities

• Help analyze risks and controls in current policies and procedures to see how they work and where improvements can be made
• Assist in shifting from manual to automated testing of these controls to make processes faster and more accurate
• Support the development of simple algorithms or scripts to automate testing tasks
• Collect data from various systems to aid in automation efforts
• Clean and organize data to ensure it's ready for automated testing
• Create visualizations to track and report the performance and effectiveness of automated controls
• Work with team members to put automation solutions into practice and make sure they fit smoothly into current workflows

About the team
The Data Query Component and Process Review Team focuses on two key areas: ensuring strong risk controls through proactive monitoring, analysis, and evaluation of the operational processes of the Methodology and Model Development Group (MMDG) and keeping our credit rating quantitative tools’ data layer free from systematic analytical risks associated with current and future data.
