Skills and Competencies

  • Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience with GitHub platform administration, including multi-instance environments.
  • Strong scripting knowledge in JavaScript, Java/SpringBoot, or Python for process automation.
  • Proven track record of managing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or equivalent tools.
  • Strong expertise in GitHub Enterprise platform administration and products (e.g., CoPilot, Actions).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java/SpringBoot for automation.
    Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, including experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Tekton.
  • Knowledge of REST APIs, including GitHub APIs, for integration and automation.
  • Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL and Spanner for application and platform support.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux environments and containerization technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Clear understanding of authentication protocols, including OAuth2 and OpenID, and Azure Active Directory APIs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, monitor, and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), OpenShift, or similar cloud technologies.
  • Familiarity with search platforms and CI/CD tools such as FOSSA.
  • Exposure to AI/ML bot development or security tools.
  • Knowledge of MCP server maintenance and configurations.
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field


Responsibilities

A GitHub Platform Administrator will manage, optimize, and support GitHub Enterprise platform environments and associated products, including GitHub CoPilot, Actions, and integrations. This role is responsible for administering multi-instance, multi-product environments, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, automating processes, and leading efforts to implement and redesign integrations with global impact.

The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in GitHub administration, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud technologies, as well as hands-on experience with scripting, REST APIs, and authentication protocols. This position requires a proactive mindset to identify and address gaps in systems/processes, provide training and documentation, and collaborate across global teams to ensure seamless implementation of solutions.

  • Administer GitHub Enterprise platforms and associated products, including GitHub CoPilot, Actions, and other tools, in multi-instance environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to GitHub products, integrations, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Support and assist in migrating GitHub on-premises data to GitHub Enterprise Managed User (EMU).
  • Collaborate with development teams to design, implement, and tune CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Tekton, and other tools.
  • Create and manage automation scripts using JavaScript, Python, or Java/SpringBoot to streamline processes and workflows.
  • Administer and troubleshoot authentication protocols, including OAuth2 and OpenID, and integrations with Azure Active Directory APIs.
  • Monitor and proactively resolve support tickets, collaborating with global teams to manage GitHub platform-related issues efficiently.
  • Document systems, processes, and configurations, providing training and support to site administrators, team members, and end users.
  • Identify areas for improvement and spearhead initiatives to address gaps in product, system, or process performance.
  • Proactively contribute to agile ceremonies, including backlog refinement/planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, ensuring quality deliverables.

The Corporate Systems team, part of the Technology Services Group, supports Moody’s core business and technology operations by enabling reliable day to day execution, strong coordination, and effective governance across corporate platforms and shared services. The team partners closely with senior leaders, product teams, and key stakeholders across the enterprise to drive operational excellence while also advancing innovation, including the adoption and enablement of AI driven capabilities. By bringing structure, clarity, and rigor to complex environments, Corporate Systems team members contribute to high impact work that improves how technology is delivered, operated, and evolved across the organization—helping ensure Moody’s systems are resilient, forward looking, and positioned for continued growth.

Annual base salary gross: €44,200.00 to €70,800.00. Applicable to Lithuania candidates: The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moody’s salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies. The salary is one component of Moody’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards and benefits include the following: Medical, Personal Accident, Life Insurance and Time Off.
