Skills and Competencies

  • 10+ years of experience in communications, digital strategy, integrated marketing, or corporate reputation roles, preferably in financial services, technology, or other complex B2B environments
  • Demonstrated success developing multi-channel communication strategies for global organizations
  • Deep understanding of owned, earned, shared, and paid channels, with expertise in social platforms, web ecosystems, media strategy, and content distribution
  • Proven experience architecting large-scale integrated campaigns and cross-functional workstreams
  • Experience designing content systems, taxonomies, or structured content models in complex, compliance-sensitive environments strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience applying insights to optimize performance
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills; ability to influence senior leaders and manage complex matrices
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and agency partners in high-pace, high-stakes environments
  • Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can improve the processes and drive efficiency; hands-on experience with AI tools and implementing AI-powered solutions is a plus

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required;  preferably in communications, marketing, journalism, business, or a related field.

Responsibilities

The Vice President, Communications Channel Strategy will lead the development and execution of Moody’s channel strategy, ensuring seamless integration across paid, owned, earned, and shared media to amplify enterprise storytelling and enhance audience engagement. As the architect of scalable, AI-driven content systems and workflows, the VP will design frameworks that enable personalization, automation, and governance at scale. This position blends strategic vision with operational excellence, leveraging data insights to optimize channel performance while collaborating with internal and external teams to deliver impactful, unified communications.

  • Build and govern Moody’s corporate channel strategy across social, website, paid media, email, multimedia, events, and internal communications.
  • Define channel roles, sequencing, and audience alignment across owned, earned, paid, and shared channels.
  • Partner on audience development and innovation for new channels and formats.
  • Architect enterprise content systems, including taxonomies and workflows for scalable, AI-driven personalization and governance.
  • Collaborate on integrated, multi-channel campaigns aligned to enterprise priorities and narratives.
  • Use analytics to guide optimization of channel mix, campaign effectiveness, and audience engagement.
  • Manage external agencies and drive operational excellence across major initiatives.
  • Cultivate cross-functional partnerships while mentoring contributors to foster collaboration and creativity.

About the Team
The Corporate Affairs team shapes and protects Moody’s global reputation by delivering strategic storytelling, brand experiences, and enterprise communications. This role partners across Corporate Affairs, Marketing, HR, and business units to build a cohesive, insight‑driven channel ecosystem that elevates Moody’s voice and drives meaningful engagement with priority audiences.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $151,300.00 - $219,400.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
