Job Description

 As a Senior Engineer, Supply Chain Planning, you will lead the conception, design, engineering, implementation, and optimization of demand and supply planning solutions, including modern platforms such as Blue Yonder Demand, Demand 360, Demand Classification, ESP (Enterprise Supply Planning), and Fulfillment. In this pivotal role, you will drive impactful initiatives such as attribute-based, constrained, and bulk supply planning, advanced demand forecasting, inventory optimization, scenario modeling, and seamless interfacing between enterprise applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, architects, business system consultants, and external partners, shaping technical strategy and enabling technology-driven process improvements for global supply chain planning transformations. Your deep understanding of supply chain planning technology, processes, and strong leadership and communication skills will ensure technical excellence and ongoing optimization in demand and supply chain planning functions. 

Responsibilities 

  • Support Supply Chain Planning applications like Blue Yonder Demand Planning, Demand 360, Demand Classification, ESP, and Fulfillment platforms. 

  • Assist in troubleshooting and maintaining demand and supply planning systems. 

  • Participate in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of planning capabilities such as attribute-based planning and inventory optimization, under supervision. 

  • Help with data collection and analysis tasks to identify improvement opportunities in supply chain processes. 

  • Contribute to system integrations by assisting with interface mapping and data harmonization across ERP and analytics platforms. 

  • Assist with testing, deployment, and troubleshooting of new features or integrations as directed by senior team members. 

  • Enable building next generation Supply Chain Planning capabilities in AbbVie through usage of AI / ML and other Supply planning best practices. 

  • Stay informed of new technology trends relevant to supply chain planning. 

  • Follow established technical standards and ensure compliance with company policies and industry’s best practices. 


Qualifications

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Data Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain Planning or related).
  • 2 years of experience in Data Engineering/Analytics, Information Technology or Supply Chain Planning related roles (internships or co-op experience counted).
  • Basic familiarity with supply chain planning concepts and/or planning software platforms.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with big data concepts and analytic tools such as SQL, Power BI, Python Dash, RShiny, and custom HTML and CSS frameworks or similar.
  • Experience in scripting languages (e.g. Python or R) or data querying languages (e.g. SQL).
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred: 

  • Integration experience with SAP Systems and Analytics platforms.
  • Knowledge of latest trends within AI/ML.
  • Exposure to Blue Yonder or similar is a plus.
