Work you'll do/Responsibilities

Drive end-to-end solution delivery across architecture, design, and development for retail POS capabilities. Build and enhance Java/Spring microservices and RESTful APIs supporting checkout and upstream/downstream integrations. Implement event-driven patterns to improve reliability, scalability, and near-real-time processing. Develop and maintain HTML/CSS components as needed for POS workflows and supporting tools. Establish and execute cloud-native CI/CD practices for frequent, low-risk releases. Ensure security, performance, observability, and resiliency standards across services. Lead technical decisions, troubleshoot complex issues, and communicate tradeoffs/status to stakeholders. Support release management and rollout readiness for phased store deployments
  • Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management
  • Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes

Qualifications

Required
  • 8+ years of Java/Spring microservices and RESTful API experience.
  • 8+ Years of Cloud-native and DevOps experience, including CI/CD and automated deployments
  • 8+ Years Strong SQL and NoSQL knowledge, including data design and performance considerations
  • 8+ Years Proven security and performance engineering experience for distributed systems
  • 8+ Years Demonstrated technical leadership (architecture guidance, mentoring, cross-team delivery)
  • Strong stakeholder communication and alignment skills
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $97,700 to $179,900.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
