Vice President, Marketing – Asia and Emerging Markets

Are you a strategic, data-driven marketing leader who can shape regional brand reputation and accelerate revenue growth across diverse, fast-moving markets—while leading a high-performing team in a highly matrixed global organization?

As Vice President, Marketing – Asia & Emerging Markets (AEM), reporting to the Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, you will partner closely with the AEM Leadership Team to set and execute the integrated regional marketing and communications strategy across key AEM markets: Australia, Japan, the Middle East, North Africa, New Zealand, Korea, and Southeast Asia. Leading a global team of 30+, you'll bring together demand generation, product marketing, digital, brand, events, and communications to deliver measurable business outcomes—while strengthening and protecting the Thomson Reuters reputation in-region.

About the Role

In this opportunity as Vice President, Marketing – Asia & Emerging Markets, you will:

  • Set AEM marketing & communications strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive integrated marketing plan aligned to the AEM segment strategy, balancing short- and long-term growth objectives.
  • Drive measurable commercial outcomes: Deliver key results including marketing-attributed sales, lead and appointment generation, return on marketing investment (ROMI), and funnel velocity.
  • Lead omni-channel, persona-based GTM: Activate digital-first and omni-channel campaigns with differentiated messaging, content, and storytelling aligned to customer personas and journey touchpoints.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional execution: Assemble and lead cross-functional teams across Centers of Excellence (demand gen, brand, events, digital marketing, communications/PR, social media, product marketing, etc.) to launch and scale marketing programs for new and existing products.
  • Elevate regional communications & reputation: Build and run an integrated AEM communications strategy (internal and external), ensuring consistent narratives across earned, owned, and shared channels—and supporting reputation management and executive communications.
  • Use customer insight to improve targeting & performance: Leverage end-to-end customer insights (e.g., Customer360) and marketing/sales enablement technology to improve targeting, personalization, lead quality, and sales handoff.
  • Own investment prioritization & performance governance: Partner with AEM leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to assess priorities, evaluate ROI/impact, build a balanced investment plan, and continuously monitor KPIs—adjusting plans to optimize results over time.
  • Deliver thought leadership & engagement at scale: Build credibility and customer connection through events, panels, roundtables, and other engagement opportunities that support pipeline and long-term brand equity.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team: Manage and coach a significant regional marketing team across multiple geographies, driving operational excellence, collaboration, and execution discipline in a matrix environment.

About You

You're a fit for the role of Vice President, Marketing – Asia & Emerging Markets if you have the following required qualifications:

  • 15+ years of senior marketing leadership experience, building and executing go-to-market strategies in a large, matrixed B2B software/technology multinational environment.
  • Proven ability to translate business strategy into integrated plans that deliver revenue outcomes (pipeline, marketing-attributed sales, ROMI, funnel velocity, retention, cross-sell/up-sell, and new product growth).
  • Demonstrated success leading regional communications (internal and external), including PR/earned media strategy, executive communications, and reputation management.
  • Strong capability in digital and omni-channel marketing, including campaign activation across channels (e.g., web, email, advertising, in-product, etc.).
  • Deep data-driven marketing experience, using insights for segmentation, targeting, personalization, performance optimization, and executive-level storytelling on marketing impact.
  • Hands-on experience leveraging marketing technology stacks to operationalize campaigns and measurement.
  • A track record of leading, inspiring, and scaling teams across geographies—building strong partnerships and influence across functions.

Additional preferred qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field (required); Master's degree (MBA or Marketing) preferred.
  • Professional certifications in marketing, digital marketing, and/or project management.
  • Experience spanning both business and consumer marketing (preferred) within software-based organizations.
