DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Customer Order Management Representative to join our team specializing in Supply Chain Planning for our SC COM EMEA Department in Rumst, Belgium
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Deliver seamless customer experiences by acting as the single point of contact, ensuring all customer orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.
- Build trusted customer relationships through consistent communication, transparency, and proactive updates throughout the entire order life cycle.
- Drive operational excellence by identifying bottlenecks in the order process and collaborating across departments to implement timely solutions.
- Ensure compliance and accuracy in export, shipping, and documentation processes, minimizing delays and supporting adherence to global trade regulations.
- Resolve complex issues efficiently by leveraging deep knowledge of Cummins’ systems and processes, ensuring swift resolutions and customer satisfaction.
- Strengthen quality standards by coordinating with manufacturing and quality teams to report and address non-conformance issues effectively.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and elevate the customer order management experience.
- Support business growth and transparency by preparing and distributing insightful reports that help leadership make informed, data-driven decisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Strong organizational and analytical skills — confidently manage multiple customer accounts, navigate ambiguity, and use data-driven insights to resolve issues and improve order accuracy.
- Technical proficiency and systems knowledge — utilize Microsoft Office Suite and order management systems to process, track, and modify customer orders efficiently and accurately.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities — deliver clear, proactive updates to customers and cross-functional teams, ensuring transparency and customer satisfaction throughout the order life cycle.
- Customer-focused mindset with a results-driven approach — take ownership of challenges, maintain high service standards under pressure, and continuously seek opportunities for personal growth and process improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience:
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
- College or equivalent degree preferred.
- Requires some work experience and intermediate level knowledge obtained through training or on-the-job experience in customer order management, account management or in the supply chain field.
