One of our most challenging new fields is Microelectronics Design and Applications (MDA), which combines the unique properties of superconductivity and quantum mechanics to develop radical new energy-efficient computing systems. MDA is seeking a Staff Low Power Superconducting Digital Logic SEIT Lead with demonstrated ability to lead systems engineers in the development of new technologies to support our innovative MDA team in support of emerging supercomputing technologies.
*What You’ll Get to Do: *
- Work closely with Low Power Superconducting Logic (RQL) device design, fabrication, and test engineers to monitor, track, and verify that device designs meet specifications.
- Track new and emergent Low Power Superconducting Logic (RQL) device use cases utilizing your knowledge of systems engineering methods, tools and techniques.
- Ability to operate in a team environment and collaborate across multi-functional teams to develop innovative solutions.
- Ensure system technical compliance with the program Statement of Work (SOW) and system requirements.
- Manage the vertical and horizontal technical integration throughout the product teams and program life cycle.
- Collect, manage, and report the program metrics and Technical Performance Measures (TPMs).
- Manage risk and opportunity and the production of core engineering work products and track the work products and associated program dependencies in the program schedule.
- Coordinate between the System Architect, Chief Engineer, Product Team Lead(s), program manager, and customer to ensure the integrity and executability of the program technical baseline.
This position is contingent on clearance.
This position will serve on-site in Linthicum / Annapolis Junction, MD.
Basic Qualifications Staff Low Power Superconducting Digital Logic SEIT Lead:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) discipline with 12 years of experience, a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years of experience or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 7 years of experience
- Experience in engineering of systems on a chip components and accelerators.
- Demonstrated ability to interface and collaborate with cross-functional, multi-discipline teams to deliver engineering outcomes
- Experience facilitating internal and customer collaboration to capture and enhance engineering artifacts.
- Demonstrated experience with Systems Development Lifecycle (Design, fabrication, and Test) focused on Stakeholder needs identification through Test Verification and Validation.
- Risk and Opportunity Management experience.
- Demonstrated Backlog Planning and Management.
- This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen.
- Active DoD TS/SCI with poly clearance per business requirements.
Preferred Qualifications Staff Low Power Superconducting Digital Logic SEIT Lead:
- Advanced Degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical fields.
- Knowledge Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML).
- Experience in a technical lead role.
- Multi-Disciplinary Engineering exposure (Software, Hardware, Electrical) and strong ability to communicate cross functionally.
- Experience working with CAMEO or other similar MBSE management tool.
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering processing from generation of an Integrated Master Plan (IMP) to Work Product Breakdown into Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for the development of complex systems of systems.
Salary Range: $157,500 - $247,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
