DESCRIPTION

Job Summary

Performs routine legal work and supports business units on legal, compliance, and contractual matters under the supervision of senior legal professionals. Assists with legal research, litigation support, documentation, and compliance activities for CCS/CDBS plants, while learning and applying practical aspects of law within a corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities 1. Legal & Compliance Support

  • Provide timely support to all CCS/CDBS plants on matters related to compliance and industrial relations (IR).
  • Assist in maintaining legal compliance across business units, ensuring adherence to internal and statutory requirements.
  • Offer administrative assistance on legal documentation, filings, and procedural compliance activities.

2. Litigation Support

  • Support the Business Unit (BU) with litigation matters including information compilation, coordination with internal stakeholders, and liaising with external counsel when required.
  • Assist attorneys by reviewing basic documents, routine contracts, and addressing standard legal questions under supervision.

3. Legal Research & Analysis

  • Conduct directed legal research on various issues affecting the BU.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to understand the application of legal analysis to business issues.
  • Support ongoing legal projects by managing defined portions of assignments.

4. Contract Management

  • Provide contract management support to CCS including document review, drafting assistance, repository maintenance, and coordinating approval workflows.
  • Ensure contract-related compliance and timely administrative handling.

5. Project & Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative and logistics support to legal project teams and project managers.
  • Help maintain documentation, databases, schedules, and project records.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the legal function.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Qualifications

  • Degree in Law (BA LLB) from a recognized institution.
  • License to practice law in home jurisdiction (can be obtained during the Graduate Program).
  • This role may require licensing to comply with export control or sanctions regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • 4 plus years of relevant legal experience (internships, clerkships, or corporate legal exposure preferred).
  • Experience with compliance, documentation, or basic legal support tasks is an advantage.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Timely legal and compliance support to CCS/CDBS plants.
  • Legal administrative expertise in documentation and compliance handling.
  • Litigation coordination and support.
  • Ability to conduct legal research on BU-related issues.
  • Contract management support experience.

This role will require 10% travel across India.
