Job Description

Visa is looking for a Social Media Manager who lives and breathes social. This is not a “deck-building” role—it’s about creating, publishing, and engaging at the speed of culture. You’ll be the voice of Visa across platforms, crafting modern, social-first stories that resonate with communities and drive engagement.

What You’ll Do

  • Create and Publish: Develop thumb-stopping content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and emerging platforms. Write, design, edit—hands-on execution is key.
  • Real-Time Activation: Spot trends, cultural moments, and conversations as they happen. React fast with relevant, on-brand content.
  • Trendspotting & Culture Fluency: Stay ahead of memes, movements, and platform shifts. Bring fresh ideas that feel native to each channel.
  • Community Management: Build and nurture Visa’s social communities. Engage authentically, respond quickly, and grow followers through meaningful interaction.
  • Influencer Economy: Identify and collaborate with creators and influencers to amplify Visa’s voice in culturally relevant ways.
  • Exclusive Behind-the-Scenes Access: Get front-row access to Visa-sponsored events and partnerships—from music festivals and celebrity shoots to cricket matches, Formula 1, and global events like the FIFA World Cup. Capture and share authentic, behind-the-scenes moments that fans can’t see anywhere else.
  • Performance & Social SEO: Track KPIs, optimize for reach and engagement, and leverage social SEO to maximize discoverability.
  • Risk Management & Brand Safety: Ensure all content aligns with Visa’s brand standards and complies with platform guidelines.
  • What We’re Looking For
  • Hands-on social creator: You’ve published content yourself—whether for a brand or your own channels—and know what works.
  • Platform-native expertise: Deep understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and emerging platforms—their algorithms, formats, and trends.
  • Proven growth experience: You’ve scaled communities or accounts significantly and can show results.
  • Data-driven mindset: Ability to interpret social analytics and turn insights into action.
  • Collaborative spirit: Comfortable working with agencies, creators, and internal teams to deliver best-in-class social content.
  • Bias for action: Move fast, stay agile, and thrive in a dynamic environment.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.


Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in social media management or content creation.
• Demonstrated success in building and engaging communities.
• Experience with influencer partnerships and social-first campaigns.
• Strong copywriting and visual storytelling skills.
• Familiarity with social listening tools and performance metrics.
