The Software Engineer role is part of one of our Fusion teams within the Design and Manufacturing Organization of the Product Design and Manufacturing Solutions division. We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our team, contributing to the design, development, and implementation of new features, improvements, and bug fixes in Fusion.
Job Responsibilities:
Software Testing
Define and understand the scope of testing activities by analyzing requirements and collaborating with stakeholders
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test plans, including risk analysis and prioritization of test cases
Execute test cases, validate results, and report progress; conduct functional, integration, regression, and performance testing
Prepare test summary reports, defect reports, and communicate metrics and risks to stakeholders
Participate in post-release analysis and lessons learned sessions
Technical Troubleshooting
Troubleshoot typical technical problems independently using checklists and standards
Add test automation for typical cases and consult others with complex scenarios
Utilize diagnostic guides and tools to resolve hardware, software, or application issues
Identify error cases, edge cases, and performance testing needs, benefiting from peer review
Product & Domain Knowledge
Demonstrate all-round understanding of products, functionalities, and underlying technologies
Utilize testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies specific to the product
Stay updated with industry standards, best practices, and emerging trends in QA
Conduct root cause analysis and provide insights to improve product quality
Communicate with customers and support teams to collect feedback and resolve issues
Analyze impacted functions or risk areas and help improve test plans for quality criteria
Quality & Risk Management
Collaborate with teams and customer groups to monitor post-release customer experience and drive improvements
Support risk evaluation on individual stories and defects; help review and prioritize defects in the team backlog
Participate in release testing events and report risky defects and incidents
Communication & Leadership
Actively participate in cross-functional teams and internal knowledge sharing
Share lessons learned, techniques, and tools to benefit the broader QA community
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
4+ years of professional software development or quality assurance experience
Experience with Agile development methodologies, including participation in daily scrums, sprint planning, and retrospectives
Experience with test management and defect tracking systems such as JIRA and TestRail
Experience in automation frameworks and tools
Good troubleshooting skills in complex software development
Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Familiarity with CAD concepts & quick learning
Preferred Qualification:
Experience with Fusion
Development Knowledge is a plus
