Job Summary:

Leads and executes the preventive, predictive, and condition based maintenance of production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Works and leads teams in the maintenance organization. Coaches line employees on basic maintenance procedures. Works with Facilities, Quality, and Manufacturing Engineering on problem identification, trouble shooting, and equipment issue resolution and repair. Maintains spare parts and indirect materials inventory by using a computerized maintenance management system. Contributes to equipment engineering design evaluations. Leads preventative maintenance processes to ensure equipment is available and capable.

Controls Safety - Recognizes controls related hazards in a manufacturing environment (Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic) to incorporate safe practices and procedures as part of the daily work plan to reduce injuries and create a safe machine environment.

Drawing Interpretation - Integrates product design and manufacturing equipment engineering drawings to support the design and development of an optimal manufacturing process that meets product design specifications.

Equipment/Capital Procurement - Selects manufacturing equipment which meets the Cummins manufacturing specifications and meets the project or program needs.

Values differences - Recognizing the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization.

Continuous Process Improvement - Recognizes areas in which a process can be improved by properly implementing process improvement and waste reduction methodologies to reduce process cost and improve quality in current manufacturing processes.

Controls Engineering Knowledge - Applies the application of controls hardware and software by specifying, reviewing, and approving company-owned and/or supplier designs for new or upgrades to existing equipment to interface with all levels of manufacturing systems.

Ergonomic Fundamentals - Understands ergonomic concepts by applying Cummins ergonomic standards, guidelines, controls and tools to reduce ergonomic risk to employees while at work.

Manufacturing Knowledge - Demonstrates the knowledge of manufacturing by correctly implementing changes in current processes, equipment, and applications to meet the function's needs and contribute towards continuous improvement.

Process Documentation - Produces written manufacturing procedures in proper sequence which are followed correctly by all approved stakeholders to establish continuity in processes and standardization.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

College, university, or equivalent degree required.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.

QUALIFICATIONS

1: Person shoud have fundamental understanding of CNC / PLC - HMC Machines. ( Sinumeric -1 / Siemens 840 D/ 828D / 810D /Fanuc 0i / Beckhoff etc. / TIA Portal / GX works /) MAG - Spect 800 HMC, Gudel Gantry. 2: PLC Systems / TIA Portal (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Beckhoff etc.), Industrial IPC - Advantech Make, Fanuc Robots, Cobots & AMR/AGV - Cylinder Block & Head handling 3: Experience: 10-12 years of hands-on Mechatronics maintenance experience, specifically with CNC machines, preferably HMCs. 4: Education: B.Tech with 10 to 12 years experience OR Diploma with 15 to 18 Years experience.
