Skills and Competencies
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Some understanding of fixed income markets and/or credit knowledge is preferred.
  • Accounting knowledge with a focus on financial analysis (e.g. through coursework, CFA or equivalent, orrelevant work experience is preferred)
  • Fluent in Japanese and professional working proficiency in English
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively and collaborative in a team
    Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and sense of priorities
Education
  • University degree with 1 -2 years of relevant work experience (e.g. Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent qualifications)
  • Recent graduates with relevant internship experience are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
  • Portfolio Management & Credit Quality: Perform day-to-day credit analysis, including reviewingfi nancial data, building forecasts, and writing analytical commentary. Assist with proprietary modelsand new fi nancial projections, and develop a working knowledge of credit fundamentals and Moody’smethodologies.
  • Research, Investor Outreach & Market Interaction: Contribute to core research drafts, attend investorbriefi ngs and issuer meetings, and build positive relationships with issuers by understanding theirbusiness and responding to inquiries.
  • Credit Administration: Operate ratings and research systems, apply Moody’s processes and bestpractices, and ensure compliance with laws and policies.
  • Coaching & Guidance: Provide guidance to the data processing team, manage workload pipeline, andoff er feedback to the manager on work quality and accuracy.
  • Risk Identification and Escalation: Ensure compliance with laws and policies, increase awareness ofcyber risks, and maintain high-quality work standards.
