The Enterprise Architecture Group Manager is a senior technology leadership role responsible for defining, governing, and executing enterprise architecture across a product-led fintech organization. This role ensures technology platforms and foundational services are designed for scalability, security, resiliency, compliance, and cost efficiency, while enabling rapid product innovation and growth.
The role combines hands-on architectural leadership, strong governance ownership, and people management, partnering with Product, Engineering, Security, Risk, and Infrastructure teams to ensure consistent technology outcomes aligned with business strategy and regulatory obligations.
Key Responsibilities
Define, review, revise, and govern enterprise architecture principles, standards, reference architectures, and governance guidelines.
Architect and oversee complex, enterprise-scale solution designs across platforms, products, and Foundational Services organization.
Establish and manage Permit-to-Design, Permit-to-Build, and Permit-to-Deploy processes for Foundational Services, ensuring consistency and risk control.
Partner with Enterprise Engineering & Architecture (E&A) Leads to standardize and continuously improve architecture review processes and decision frameworks.
Provide expertise in application functional decomposition, translating business capabilities into scalable, reusable application and service architectures.
Lead cloud service modeling, defining standard consumption patterns across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS with focus on resilience, security, and cost optimization.
Define architectural guardrails for digital platforms, APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems, embedding security
Own Application Portfolio Management (APM) strategy, including lifecycle management, rationalization, modernization, and decommissioning.
Govern software and SaaS usage, including third-party and open-source components, leveraging platforms such as ServiceNow APM/CMDB for transparency and compliance.
Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to align product roadmaps with architectural direction and enable autonomous team delivery.
Lead, coach, and develop a large team of enterprise architects, product architects, and analysts.
Collaborate broadly, communicate clearly, and share architecture best practices across teams and domains.
Ensure architectures meet fintech regulatory, risk, and audit expectations, supporting reviews with clear documentation and traceability
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or relevant experience
15+ years’ experience in enterprise, platform, or solution architecture within fintech, digital banking, or financial services.
Proven ability to design, govern, and scale complex enterprise architectures.
Demonstrated success leading large, cross-functional architecture teams.
Strong executive communication and stakeholder influence skills
Preferred Qualifications
TOGAF certification
Experience with microservices, APIs, and real-time platforms
Exposure to DevSecOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code
Measures of Success

$156,160.00 - $234,240.00
