Position Summary
As the Advanced Analytics Director for Nestlé Health Science U.S., you will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of enterprise-wide data and analytics initiatives. This director-level role is responsible for driving business value through advanced analytics, robust data governance, scalable data engineering, data visualization – while fostering a culture of data literacy across the organization. Your leadership will be crucial in advancing our Data & Analytics organization, driving capability investments, managing financials, and forging key partnerships to enable critical areas such as Strategic Revenue Management, Digital Marketing, and Connected Supply Chain. In this dynamic role, you will collaborate closely with Senior Leadership, Functions, Business Units, IT and Digital teams to ensure data is a trusted, strategic asset that powers decision-making and innovation.
This position will be either a remote or hybrid role based on the selected candidate’s geographic location. Strong preference will be given to applicants who live within a commutable distance to our Corporate HQ in Bridgewater, New Jersey.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement the Data & Analytics strategy, aligning with NHSc US and global business objectives.
- Shape and own the data roadmap, ensuring delivery of high-impact analytics solutions and platforms.
- Lead digital transformation initiatives, integrating emerging technologies and best practices into business processes.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities for data-driven innovation and value creation.
Data Governance & Compliance
- Lead the Data Governance Council, promoting best practices and resolving governance issues in collaboration with business divisions.
- Develop and enforce standards and policies for data creation and consumption to ensure standardization, accuracy, integrity, security, and trustworthiness of information across all business units.
- Oversee governance of master data assets and infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business needs and scalability.
- Establish strategies for integrating internal and external data sources and partnerships, supporting data negotiations to align with NHSc's business strategy.
Data Engineering & Architecture
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of data engineering solutions that enable scalable, high-quality data assets to power analytics, AI, and business decision-making across the enterprise.
- Lead the design, development, and lifecycle management of enterprise data platforms (cloud, data lakes, warehouses).
- Own and evolve DevSecOps processes and tooling across the data ecosystem to drive secure, automated, and efficient deployment pipelines, fostering a culture of continuous integration and delivery.
- Evaluate and manage BI vendors and technology platforms.
Data Science & Advanced Analytics
- Oversee the development and deployment of predictive models, machine learning solutions, and business intelligence tools.
- Enable actionable insights and prescriptive analytics to improve business performance and support strategic initiatives.
Data Literacy & Visualization
- Champion data literacy programs to empower business users and foster a data-driven culture.
- Ensure delivery of intuitive dashboards, reports, and visualization solutions that drive adoption and impact.
Team Leadership & Development
- Oversee the recruitment, development, and retention of a high-performing team of data engineers, architects, scientists, and other relevant roles in strategy and operations.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, agility, and innovation to ensure team members are motivated and equipped to meet evolving technology needs.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage with industry leaders and forums to bring best-in-class data management practices to NHSc US.
- Collaborates with Regional and Global IT & Digital leaders and Product groups to ensure understanding of the business strategy, goals, and context to properly incorporate those into the product, platform and data roadmaps
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Data Management, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.
- 12+ years of experience in Data Management, Data Governance, Data Operations, or consulting in the data domain.
- 5+ years of experience leading data strategy and management in a large company, including financial investment decisions and people leadership responsibilities.
- 3+ years of experience driving digital transformation and change management.
- Proven ability to lead multi-functional teams and deliver successful outcomes in complex environments.
- Significant stakeholder management experience in a large matrix organization.
- Experience with cloud-based analytics platforms (e.g., AWS), data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake), engineering (e.g., Snowflake, SQL, Azure Synapse), and visualization technologies (e.g., Power BI).
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline.
- Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods or Life Science industries.
The approximate annual pay range for this position is $188,000 to $207,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
