Job Details
- Assist the Network Infrastructure team in supporting global enterprise network infrastructure, including data centers, WAN, LAN, and cloud connectivity.
- Develop a foundational understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts, routing, switching, and network troubleshooting principles.
- Support monitoring, triage, and documentation of network incidents, alerts, and service degradation events, under supervision.
- Assist in maintaining and updating network documentation, operational runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), aligned with best practices used in Network Infrastructure team.
Qualifications
So, what are we looking for in a Network & Security Engineering Intern?
- We welcome applications from Singapore citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents. All candidates must have existing, and continuing, right to work in Singapore.
- Penultimate year undergraduate students graduating between December 2026 – May 2027
- Able to work full-time for 12 weeks between May 2026 and August 2026.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computing, Information Systems, or a related field
Technical Skills (Foundational Level Expected)
- Basic understanding of TCP/IP protocols, networking fundamentals, and OSI model concepts.
- Exposure to routing and switching fundamentals (academic or lab experience acceptable).
- Basic IT and systems knowledge, including Windows/Linux operating systems.
- Introductory coding or scripting experience, preferably in Python (academic, project, or self‑learning).
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting, documentation, and presentations.
- Interest or basic exposure to Generative AI tools (e.g., using GenAI for productivity, documentation, or analysis support).
Soft Skills & Attributes
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Willingness to learn and take initiative in a fast‑paced, operational environment.
- Demonstrates discipline, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to multi‑task and manage priorities effectively.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- A collaborative team player who can work effectively with global stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Academic or lab exposure to networking tools (e.g., packet analysis, simulators).
- Prior internship, project, or coursework related to networks, infrastructure, automation, or IT operations.
- Basic understanding of enterprise networking concepts (e.g., WAN, MPLS, Internet connectivity, cloud networking).
