Job Description

What aN Analyst, Visa Direct Bus Dev Executive does at Visa:

  • Drive sales across a defined cluster of countries, partnering closely with in‑market teams and account managers to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
  • Own and manage all sales activities for the region, including pipeline generation, forecasting accuracy, and achievement of key sales metrics.
  • Leverage use‑case‑driven strategies to research and identify high‑potential prospects, map decision‑makers, qualify opportunities, and build a robust pipeline aligned with revenue goals.
  • Engage prospective clients through calls, meetings, and tailored discovery sessions to understand their business challenges/goals and articulate the value Currencycloud delivers—applying a Gap Selling approach to demonstrate impact.
  • Lead negotiations and close commercial agreements to meet revenue targets, ensuring clients are positioned for long‑term success and sustainable growth.
  • Collaborate with Compliance, Solutions (including Pre‑Sales, Implementation, and Launch Management), Customer Success, and Account Management to ensure smooth onboarding and seamless handover post‑sale
  • Apply insights from the Fintech and Payments landscape to shape market penetration strategies and inform Currencycloud’s broader business direction within your segment(s).
  • Act as a thought leader for your focus segment(s), becoming the go‑to subject matter expert internally and representing Currencycloud credibly and professionally across the industry.

Projects you will be a part of:

  • As part of the Currencycloud New Business Sales team, you will work on high‑visibility, revenue‑generating initiatives that directly shape Visa Direct’s growth across Greater China and APAC. Your work will span strategic market expansion, complex deal execution, and cross‑functional delivery, giving you a rare opportunity to see your ideas translated into live, scaled solutions.
  • You will lead new market and corridor expansion projects, identifying priority use cases across fintechs, payments service providers, digital banks, and embedded finance platforms. This includes shaping entry strategies for new client segments, validating commercial viability, and translating regional market insights into executable sales and partnership plans.
  • Most importantly, you will be part of projects that deliver visible, measurable impact—from launching new cross‑border payment capabilities to enabling clients’ international expansion—giving you clear ownership and accountability while helping shape the future of cross‑border payments in one of Visa’s most strategic growth regions.

For the individual in this role, this is a rare opportunity to operate with true end‑to‑end ownership— from market discovery and commercial negotiation through to client onboarding and launch—giving you a tangible line of sight between your efforts and Visa’s growth in one of its most strategically important regions. Your success will drive adoption of Visa Direct and Currencycloud solutions while giving you the opportunity to help shape the future of cross‑border payments across Greater China and APAC. 

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.


Qualifications

What you will need:

  • Fluency in Mandarin
  • 5+ years of sales experience
  • Highly motivated individual looking for first-class career building opportunity
  • Individual with a track-record of exceeding sales targets in a business development environment
  • Enhanced communication skills with the ability to negotiate with C-suite executives
  • Strong repeatable sales methodology to build a sustainable pipeline while practicing excellent sales hygiene to accurately manage sales forecasting to ultimately close deals.
  • Ability to contribute to new business strategy and revenue targets
  • Outstanding relationship building skills with key stakeholders internally within cross-functional teams as well as with prospects

What will also help:

  • Experience in a Fintech, preferably within the following segments: Payments Services Providers, Digital banking / Digital e-Wallets, Paytech or embedded finance.
  • Knowledge in FX and Cross-Border Payments.
  • Experience in Solution Selling
