The Visa Direct Account Management team drives growth and revenue across strategic client portfolios. This role focuses on Big Tech accounts such as PayPal, Venmo, Meta, X, partnering with leading platforms to optimize money movement flows, expand adoption of Visa Direct solutions, and actively manage strategic initiatives.
Role Purpose:
The Senior Manager will support a portfolio of high-potential strategic Big Tech clients, driving revenue growth, use case expansion, and strategic account penetration. This role requires strong commercial acumen, consultative selling skills, and the ability to orchestrate cross-functional resources to deliver exceptional client outcomes.
Organizationally savvy, interpersonal and negotiation skills are critical as the role will interface with multiple areas within the assigned organizations as well as within Visa (sales, marketing, pricing, legal, risk, and more).
This individual is comfortable driving growth while navigating ambiguity and demanding timelines in a matrixed organization. This is a critical revenue growth role on the Visa Direct sales team in a highly visible position. You’ll have excellent written and verbal communication skills, high intellectual curiosity to learn new concepts and business models and ability to adapt and thrive in the fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Growth & Portfolio Management
- Develop and execute account strategies to exceed annual revenue and transaction targets.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities for Visa Direct capabilities (e.g., OCT, AFT, Cross Border, Alias Directory).
- Alternatively support and drive assigned sales opportunities in the pursuit of growth activities including negotiating contracts and deal approvals, support new use case launches and deliver leadership level partnership presentations.
Client Engagement & Relationship Building
- Serve as the primary point of contact for executive and operational stakeholders at Big Tech clients.
- Build trust-based relationships and act as a strategic advisor on money movement solutions.
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Lead account planning activities, pipeline strategy and drive opportunity discussions across the larger Visa organization on behalf of your enablement partners.
- Lead quarterly business reviews and performance optimization initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Product, Marketing, Legal, Risk, and Commercialization teams to deliver tailored solutions.
- Coordinate internal resources to resolve operational issues and accelerate time-to-market for new programs.
Market & Industry Expertise
- Provide deep understanding of our clients' industry landscape, performance, benchmarking and business options to optimize and grow their real-time push payments programs.
- Stay informed on payment industry trends, P2P wallets, marketplace dynamics, and competitive offerings.
- Provide insights to influence Visa Direct’s go-to-market strategy for emerging verticals.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
- 8+ years of experience in account management, business development, or payments industry roles.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth in complex, matrixed organizations.
- Deep understanding of digital payments, gig economy platforms, and marketplace ecosystems.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 207,600.00 to 332,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
