As a Senior Manager you are expected to contribute to the firm's growth and development in a variety of ways, including:

• Engagement Management: Lead engagement planning and budgeting; mobilize and manage engagement teams; define deliverable structure and content; facilitate buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client; direct on-time, quality delivery of work products; manage engagement economics; manage engagement risk
• Client Management: Manage day to day interactions with executive clients and sponsors
• Business Development: Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients; organize and lead pursuit teams; participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process; contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies
• People Development: Perform role of counselor and coach; provide input and guidance into the staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices

Qualifications

Required:

• 8+ years experience with relevant consulting experience.

• 6+ years of Life Sciences industry experience in the Pharmaceutical R&D regulatory affairs function to include:

• Experience introducing new technologies such as GenAI/AI/ML and automation for pharmaceutical regulatory content or regulatory intelligence

• Understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory data and regulatory filing requirements
• Experience with pharmaceutical regulatory operating model transformations
• Experience with regulatory digital transformations / innovations
• Experience with pharmaceutical submissions management, labeling, CMC change control and/or LCM processes
• Knowledge around generating pharmaceutical submissions packages
• Experience with Veeva RIM and/or QMS implementations

• 6+ years experience leading, managing and delivering engagements end-to-end with resources in multiple locations

• Bachelor's Degree
• Ability to travel up to 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
• Limited immigration sponsorship may be available

Preferred:

• Demonstrated experience driving both the sales cycle by taking the lead in framing out client opportunities and leading the pursuit team to create the proposal content for client discussions
• Ability to orchestrate, lead, and influence virtual teams, ensuring successful implementation of customer projects
• Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both large and small audiences
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
• Demonstrated experience with management and delivery of multiple strategic engagements for large global organization

Work you'll do

As a Senior Manager on the Insurance Transformation team, you will be responsible for market development and delivery of business strategy and operations projects within the Insurance sector. You will:

• Leverage deep Policy, Billing, and/or Claims expertise to provide strategic perspectives on leading practices and develop strategies that drive measurable business value.
• Develop insight-based hypotheses and influence strategy, vision, and capability prioritization under ambiguity and uncertainty.
• Lead and deliver large, complex engagements that identify, design, and implement creative business operations solutions.
• Oversee project delivery, including planning and budgeting, mobilizing and managing cross-functional teams, defining deliverable structure and content, securing executive buy-in, directing on-time, high-quality deliverables, and managing engagement economics and risk.
• Drive sales by leading strategy development and exploratory efforts, building pipelines, qualifying opportunities, and leading proposal development and pricing strategies.
• Build and sustain senior client relationships; develop thought leadership (e.g., points of view, publications, speaking engagements) that showcase domain expertise.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 10 years of strategy and business operations transformation experience with Insurance sector clients in Financial Services at a consulting firm or insurer.
• Subject matter expertise in one or more insurance functions: Policy, Billing, Claims, or Distribution.
• Minimum 6 years of experience redesigning business processes and/or operating models for business functions.
• Minimum 2 years of experience designing analytics solutions using predictive models and/or AI.
• Ability to travel 50-75%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

• Minimum 6 years of experience in specialty insurance, product management, underwriting, and/or analytics.
• Experience with global insurance markets (e.g., London, Bermuda, Asia).
• Experience optimizing reinsurance programs.
• Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, PhD).

This compensation range is specific to these locations and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $175,300 to $322,900.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
