Skills and Competencies
- Familiarity with debt capital markets preferred, including coursework or relevant work experience, and prior exposure to reviewing financial or legal documentation
- Demonstrates flexibility with last‑minute changes in commitments and deadlines, with strong ability to prioritize tasks accordingly
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint (advanced Excel skills a plus)
- Strong attention to detail along with solid verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in artificial intelligence concepts, with hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance operational efficiency. Proven ability to implement AI-powered solutions to solve business challenges. Demonstrates a growing awareness of AI risk management and a commitment to responsible and ethical AI use.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree required 

Responsibilities
Supports the end‑to‑end ratings process through document review, regulatory controls, market monitoring and cross-team collaboration

- Ensure global regulatory controls including Dodd‑Frank and internal credit policy requirements are followed across the ratings process
- Review, analyze and interpret legal, contingency, and related provisions in documentation such as credit agreements, term sheets and amendments
- Monitor Securities and Exchange Commission filings and identify subsequent bank loan events, escalating to analysts when further analysis is required
- Develop strong understanding of Moody’s credit methodologies, financial instruments, document packages and associated business practices
- Gather necessary issuance documentation and track vendor and news sources to identify and flag relevant debt market developments
- Engage proactively with issuers and market participants to compile comprehensive information on issuance portfolios
- Identify, research and escalate issuance discrepancies, conflicts or related concerns and summarize findings for analysts
- Interact professionally with issuers, investors and intermediaries as part of the ratings process
- Provide timely, professional support and responses to internal and external client inquiries
- Continue building subject‑matter knowledge of financial instruments, methodologies, policy updates and related practices as required

About the Team
Our Ratings Desk Services team is responsible for monitoring and analyzing bank loan data, conducting detailed reviews of issuance and organizational documentation, and identifying market activity to support accurate, timely rating decisions. By joining our team, you will work cross‑functionally with analytical and operational groups across Moody’s and contribute to efficient, technology‑enabled workflows that increasingly incorporate responsible AI‑supported tools and data‑driven insights.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $51,200.00 - $74,150.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
