We are seeking a strategic and results-driven professional to grow our Thompson Reuters customer portfolio with corporate accounts. The ideal candidate is motivated to be part of a winning team to grow a portfolio of high-value accounts, building key relationships with decision makers in corporate accounts. About the Role:

The Account Specialist – Global Trade Management (GTM) is responsible for driving customer retention, renewals, and growth across a portfolio of customers using ONESOURCE Global Trade Management solutions. This role partners closely with Account Managers, Customer Success Managers, Product, and Support teams to ensure customers realize value from their Global Trade solutions while identifying opportunities for upsell and cross‑sell.

This is a role for a customer‑obsessed, commercially minded, and comfortable navigating complex Global Trade workflows including compliance, classification, and trade automation.

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Retention & Renewals
  • Own and manage the renewal lifecycle for a defined book of Global Trade Management customers
  • Proactively engage customers to mitigate churn risk, manage cancellations, and ensure timely renewals
  • Lead renewal conversations including pricing discussions, contract alignment, and negotiation support
Customer Engagement & Value Realization
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for customers using ONESOURCE Global Trade Management
  • Partner with internal GTM experts to support customers on product adoption, usage, and value articulation
  • Conduct regular customer touchpoints to understand business needs and evolving trade requirements
Expansion & Commercial Growth
  • Identify and execute upsell and cross‑sell opportunities within the Global Trade product portfolio
  • Collaborate with Account Managers on expansion strategies and customer account planning
  • Support early renewals and price uplift initiatives aligned to business targets
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Customer Success, Sales, Support, Billing, and Product teams to resolve customer issues
  • Manage internal processes related to orders, amendments, billing, and credit requests
  • Ensure accurate forecasting and pipeline hygiene within CRM systems
Operational Excellence
  • Maintain accurate customer data, renewal forecasts, and activity tracking
  • Follow established retention plays, escalation paths, and compliance processes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of renewal and retention motions within the GTM segment

About You:

You’re a fit for the role if your background includes:

  • 2+ years of experience in Customer Success, Account Management, Renewals, or Sales Support
  • Proven ability to manage a large book of business (200+ accounts) in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong experience leading commercial conversations, including renewals, pricing, and objection handling
  • Demonstrated customer‑centric mindset with experience supporting SaaS solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; English required, Spanish preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills, with a professional and personable demeanor
  • High level of attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Experience working with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Ability to maintain consistent performance under pressure with a positive, resilient attitude
  • Strong learning agility, with the ability to quickly acquire new product and process knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Global Trade, Tax, Compliance, or SaaS solutions
  • Familiarity with trade compliance concepts (e.g., classification, tariffs, FTA, screening)
  • Prior experience in retention, renewals, or expansion‑focused roles
