DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Product Owner III to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology for our Corporate organization in Atlanta, GA .

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Align Business Priorities with Customer Needs – Use Lean-Agile thinking and business expertise to identify short- and long-term priorities that reflect the voice of the customer.
  • Drive Product Vision and Strategy – Act as an entrepreneur for products, connecting strategic objectives with tactical execution in collaboration with Product Managers.
  • Champion User-Centric Design – Define archetypical users, prioritize personas and their problems, and seek direct customer feedback to shape solutions that solve real market challenges.
  • Lead Agile Delivery Excellence – Own and refine program and team backlogs, set iteration goals, and apply Behavior Driven Development (BDD) to reduce rework and increase flow.
  • Ensure Transparency and Accountability – Clearly communicate product goals, maintain a visible and prioritized backlog, and validate stories against acceptance criteria and Definition of Done.
  • Enable Technical Decision-Making – Collaborate with architects and engineers to sequence enabler work and ensure technology decisions align with business objectives.
  • Measure and Optimize Outcomes – Define KPIs and OKRs, participate in Inspect & Adapt workshops, and continuously improve processes to deliver measurable business value.
  • Influence and Build Relationships Across the Organization – Gain support for ideas in a matrix environment, foster collaboration, and leverage Business Relationship Management practices to maximize impact.

  • Lean Portfolio Management, budgets, and Economic Framework - Applies Lean and systems thinking approaches in support of strategy, investment funding, Agile portfolio operations, and governance; evaluates working systems; manages Epic investments and dynamic budget adjustments to minimize overhead through funding and empowering Value Streams while maintaining financial and fit-for-use governance to minimize overhead; assesses and supports decision rules that align to the financial objectives of the Solution to guide the economic decision-making process.
  • Planning and Managing Ceremonies - Plans, schedules, and leads ceremonies that create a cadence for the team to maximize productivity, promote collaboration, maintain transparency, and inspect and adapt so the team can continuously learn and improve.
  • Program Backlog Management and User Story Elaboration - Identifies, refines, prioritizes, and sequences backlog items using Weighted Shortest Job First (WSJF) to ensure the economic success of the solution; determines the details of a product feature to ensure that any unanswered questions about it are answered so that development can proceed.
  • Values differences - Recognizing the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related subject, or relevant equivalent experience required.
  • SAFe® Product Owner/Agile Product Manager (POPM) certification preferred.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

  • Significant business and technical knowledge with practical experience of the Lean Methodology and it's principles and tools are preferred.
  • Significant experience working in an Agile environment is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Product Owner is preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

Primary Function : The Product Owner will serve as the overall leader for the Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) program and provide subject matter expertise on a variety of technical and non-technical topics. The Product Owner provides technical guidance and is responsible for contributing to the planning, evaluation, architecture and support of the enterprise IGA solution and its associated processes. The Product Owner will also be responsible for identifying, evaluating and participating in decision making around new and emerging IAM technologies and should be able to support other areas of IAM/Information Security as needed.

Essential duties to be performed:

  • Work with stakeholders to analyze and document requirements, transforming them into actionable functional and technical specifications. Bridge the gap between business needs and technical feasibility within the IGA program
  • Leading the technical aspects of the IGA program, providing guidance to team members, and ensuring solutions are aligned with business needs and IAM best practices
  • Build a strong IGA program and serve as the IAM subject matter expert. Key technical contributor to the strategy, design, engineering and management of the enterprise IGA program
  • Provide input to Executive Management strategies for the implementation of a modern Identity and Access Management program
  • Be the primary point of escalation for operational and security issues for IGA platform and solution. Lead and support ongoing IGA operations, maintenance and specific problem resolution. Anticipate, identify, track and assist in resolution of technical issues
  • Design IGA processes and identify opportunities for improvements. Plan, design and implement Access Reviews, Compliance Reporting, Access Control Processes, role-based access control and other relevant IGA capabilities
  • Work to understand the IT enterprise architecture and collaborate with the architecture team to ensure the IGA/IAM security standards are created and adopted into the Enterprise Architecture frameworks
  • Conduct industry and market research and maintain a working knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in the IGA discipline. Ensure that the IGA team is aligning with global standards and initiatives
  • Create and manage a training program to develop the IGA team. Develop and increase the capability and skills of the current team. Identify, staff, and manage necessary skills to fill gaps in the team
  • Manage and direct a consultative team approach for enterprise-wide security initiatives with key stakeholders
  • Produce & review daily, weekly, monthly reports to measure services against key performance & risk indicators
  • Create an environment of trust and confidence amongst the team

Experience and Training

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 12+ years of information security or information technology experience
  • 10+ years’ working experience in Identity and Access Management
  • Strong understanding of IAM concepts, technologies, and best practices. Highly effective in developing and communicating audience appropriate information to technical, non-technical, management, and executive audiences
  • Proven experience in successfully designing, implementing and operating IGA service capabilities and overall IAM functions in technically complex organizations
  • Extensive experience in building and implementing IGA platforms with one or more of the leading IGA products - Saviynt, SailPoint IdentityIQ, SailPoint Identity Security Cloud, Oracle Access Governance/OIM
  • Experience in developing and running multi-year, complex IGA initiatives and programs
  • Experience managing relationships with Product and Services vendors. Proven ability to build and maintain strong enterprise relationships with internal and external teams/partners
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory concepts, including users, computers, groups, policies. Experience with Linux and Windows Operating Systems
  • Preferred experience with Access Management Products (Okta/Ping/MS Entra etc.) and Privileged Access Management (CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Delinea etc.)
  • Preferred experience with Cloud technologies (Oracle Cloud, Azure or AWS)
  • Understanding of database architecture and concepts
  • Deep knowledge of agile processes and workflows
  • Must have good communication and collaboration skills
  • Solid diagnostic, testing, and problem-solving skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Must be team-oriented and able to collaborate across many participating teams
  • Preferred position relevant information security certifications (CISSP, CIGE, CIAM, CIMP, CAMS, CIPA)

  • Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
