You will champion safe work practices, reinforce compliance, and foster a positive environment where associates feel informed, confident, and engaged.
You will address personnel, mechanical, and resource challenges proactively to maintain productivity and team morale. Your leadership will ensure adherence to company policies, Maintenance and Quality procedures, and GMPs while overseeing work orders, shift‑handoff documentation, and labor and material resources through SAP and related systems.

Work Schedule: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with flexibility to support weekend operations as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence & Equipment Reliability:
- Lead the maintenance team in proactively reducing technical stoppages by identifying patterns, prioritizing high‑impact failure points, and implementing targeted corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop, refine, and oversee a robust maintenance and reliability framework that ensures systematic evaluation of all critical equipment, processes, and utilities—especially those where failures pose risks to personnel safety, food safety, environmental compliance, or legal standards.
- Monitor equipment performance and plant operational trends to drive optimal uptime, improve overall equipment efficiency, and minimize both planned and unplanned downtime.
- Define, track, and continuously enhance key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with best‑in‑class maintenance practices and organizational objectives.
- Advance and refine preventive and predictive maintenance activities (including PMs, changeovers, inspections, and system upgrades) to support continuous improvement and long‑term asset health.
Leadership, Coaching & Team Development:
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and high‑performance work environment where every associate feels valued, empowered, and equipped to contribute to team and site success.
- Train, mentor, and develop maintenance staff, ensuring expectations are clearly communicated, progress is monitored, and skill gaps are proactively addressed.
- Build confidence within the team by providing constructive feedback, individualized coaching, and opportunities to strengthen technical and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Equip associates with the tools, information, and decision‑making authority needed to resolve issues effectively and support safe, efficient operations.
Communication, Coordination & Compliance:
- Ensure transparent, consistent communication by keeping team members informed about administrative updates, policies, procedures, departmental performance, and operational changes through regular meetings and one‑on‑one discussions.
- Document and address behavioral or performance concerns in alignment with company policies, including accurate reporting of incidents that may require disciplinary action.
- Draft and maintain departmental procedures to ensure activities comply with GMPs, SOPs, safety policies, and regulatory requirements.
Administration, Planning & Resource Management:
- Manage scheduling responsibilities, including building and maintaining team schedules within Kronos, coordinating shift coverage, and approving vacation and time‑off requests.
- Oversee administrative and operational requests, such as supply requisitions, maintenance work orders, and other site‑wide support needs.
- Support site operations as required, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to workload demands, special projects, audits, or system upgrades.
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform additional duties as assigned, supporting broader organizational needs, special initiatives, or cross‑functional projects that enhance maintenance performance and overall site efficiency.
Experience and Education Requirements:
- 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience, with solid technical knowledge of utilities, facilities, and production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience, with a proven ability to coach, develop, and lead maintenance teams.
- 3+ years of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience, with the ability to diagnose and prevent equipment failures.
- CMRP certification preferred; equivalent experience in maintenance planning, reliability, or supervision accepted.
- Proficient with CMMS and computer systems; SAP or AMM experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of Lean tools such as Six Sigma, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, or TPM.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, supported by demonstrated leadership and planning capability.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, including root‑cause identification and corrective‑action leadership.
- Proactive, improvement‑focused mindset with a track record of driving reliability and process enhancements.
