DESCRIPTION

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Apply documented procedures and policies to complete complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools.
  • Disassemble, inspect, clean, and reassemble engines and/or engine components.
  • Perform preventative maintenance based on assessment of engines.
  • Assist more experienced technicians with diagnostics and development of repair plans in the workshop.
  • Complete required documentation, such as work completed documents, time sheets, warranty claims, and quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
  • Complete training in line with skill and business requirements.
  • Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
  • Adhere to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation and report any issues/incidents to the supervisor.

  • Technical Diagnostics & Repair: Applies advanced tools and workflows to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical and electrical systems efficiently.
  • Documentation & Escalation: Accurately records service activities and escalates technical issues using structured systems to ensure timely and effective resolution.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
  • Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
  • Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

  • Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products

QUALIFICATIONS

Strong Safety focused and willing to adhere to Cummins policies and procedures

Self-motivated and willing to work independently.

Willing to learn Cummins products, attend online and class base training
