Introduction to TTS and Platforms & Data Services

Citi Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) is a business unit of Citi's Services business. We are the leading provider of integrated cash management and trade solutions for multinational corporations, financial institutions, and the public sector around the world. TTS is one of the most networked businesses in Citi, with clients increasingly leaning towards centralizing their buying decisions.

Platforms & Data Services vertical is a key strength and differentiator for TTS and a key driver of our client experience. Over the years, Citi has been leading innovation in transaction banking by developing best-in-class digital capabilities for clients across both traditional and new-age industry segments. Delivery of integration solutions with a very fast time to market is an essential part of this seamless experience. This group is strategically important for TTS in a dynamic and high-growth region.

Job Description

The Head of Digital Platforms Product for NAM is a strategic and highly visible role in the NAM Platforms and Data Services team. This leadership position is responsible for shaping the future of Citi's Corporate-to-Bank Connectivity propositions for clients across the cluster, spanning corporations undergoing digital transformation, digital native e-commerce companies, and emerging players in new-age industries such as FinTech, EduTech, Gaming-Entertainment, and HealthTech.

This role requires a client-obsessed product leader to drive the product strategy for the complete suite of online banking channels and digital platforms in line with the global strategic roadmap. You will be instrumental in enabling digital commerce at pace and building scalable solutions, ensuring an excellent user experience for the end-product and an exceptional developer experience during the integration phase. This involves providing advisory, consulting, and co-creating with clients to leverage Citi's connectivity solutions as "building blocks" to solve business challenges, driving operational efficiency and business growth.

You will lead and manage the process for evaluating and optimizing digital banking delivery and effectiveness across multiple client segments, including large and mid-size Corporates, New Digital Native clients, Public sector clients, Commercial Banking clients, and Financial Institutions. A deep understanding of market trends, strong empathy for clients and developers, and the ability to make sound product prioritization decisions will position you for success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the product strategy for the complete suite of Digital Banking platforms (CitiConnect, CitiDirect and Citi Manager) in line with the global strategic roadmap to provide a best-in-class client experience across TTS products.
  • Collaborate with sales partners in defining appropriate client connectivity-based solutions in line with the evolving business models for clients.
  • Drive adoption of the CitiConnect & CitiDirect product suite, including executing product readiness and launches, self-service initiatives, driving client adoption, and supporting sales engagements and client RFPs.
  • Define and communicate the strategic roadmap and value proposition clearly with clients, our sales teams, and partners on an ongoing basis.
  • Analyze and anticipate future regulatory requirements in the cluster based on developments in other regions as well as the roadmap laid out by local regulators in the cluster.
  • Work through the complexity of delivering consistent and hyper-simplified user and developer experience across Citi's global network, cutting across a multitude of product lines, client segments, and user personas.
  • Champion thought leadership as the main SME for the CitiConnect & CitiDirect capabilities in Treasury and Trade Solutions in the cluster and at industry forums.
  • Gather competitive intelligence with periodic reviews and translate into relevant connectivity capabilities as part of the omni-channel strategy for Digital Platforms.
People Management / Risk and Controls
  • Create a high performing team; Establish and maintain optimal organizational structure.
  • Establish a dynamic communication process between the region team and country/cluster/global teams as well as with partners (including Operations, Technology, TTS Sales, Finance, Legal, Compliance, AML/Sanctions, and others).
  • Drive ethical behavior and manage Conduct Risk in line with Citi and TTS standards.
  • Collaborate with all Risk & Control functions and other stakeholders as needed in order to maintain a pristine risk and control environment.
  • Proactively provide leadership and ownership for any programs and initiatives to enhance governance, controls, and risk management practices of TTS / PDS.

Qualifications
  • A bachelor's or master's degree, ideally in a technical discipline.
Knowledge / Experience
  • 10+ years of product management skills in electronic banking / connectivity / platforms delivery.
  • Experience of leading a multi-country platforms strategy or digital transformation of business preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge on corporate-to-bank APIs, File and SWIFT-based solutions is key, whilst prior experience with internet banking platforms is a plus.
  • Technical knowledge of digital channels and APIs and broader knowledge of TTS business.
  • Detailed working knowledge of best-in-class industry standard file formats, such as ISO 20022, HTTP methods, and formats/standards associated with APIs such as JavaScript Object Notation (JSON), Open API Standards, and best practices in defining a REST API Taxonomy.
  • Knowledge of client systems and how they interact with APIs, such as ERPs (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and TMSs (Kyriba, SunGard, etc.).
  • Knowledge on Treasury and Trade solutions products, particularly payments, receivables, and / or trade preferred.
  • Experience in designing and building platforms to scale efficiently in either a C2B or B2C oriented industry or tech-centric business.
Competencies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to be able to respond quickly and creatively to complex issues.
  • Product management in at least one or two transaction banking functions is preferred but not essential for candidates with a strong API/ERP/Direct Connectivity related skillset.
  • Experience in engaging senior clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in a cross-cultural environment while demonstrating collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • A high level of personal integrity with a proven dedication to excellence and leadership in managing a diverse team with the ability to motivate and influence their performance.
