NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Coordinator, Public & Government Affairs in Daytona Beach, FL.
 

Summary
The Coordinator, Public & Government Affairs handles administrative tasks, assists with the coordination of meetings and events throughout legislative and race schedules and assists with travel arrangements of the NASCAR Public & Government Affairs department.  Ability to be flexible as the team’s workload fluctuates and step in to help where needed.  Must learn and follow department processes.This role exercises discretion and independent judgment in managing sensitive information, coordinating complex scheduling logistics, and administering departmental processes that support executive-level and government affairs initiatives. The position regularly handles confidential and proprietary information and is responsible for ensuring compliance with established internal policies and external requirements.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Manages office tasks, such as filing, generating reports, and setting up meetings. 
  • Make travel arrangements for the department upon request.  
  • Manages the coordination of guests attending NASCAR events, including drafting itineraries and processing guest information for credentialing process.
  • Processing invoices. 
  • Assists with drafting internal communications related to NASCAR Troops to the Track and Honor and Remember programs.
  • Maintains polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail and mail with our internal and external clients when handling the processing of legal matters.  
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding personal information, financial data, schedules, and other corporate information.
  • Exercise discretion and sound judgment in handling sensitive legislative, legal, financial, and executive-level communications and documentation.
  • Independently prioritize assignments and workflow in alignment with legislative calendars, race schedules, and executive demands, adapting to shifting priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required skill / experience:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to learn systems and follow process. 
  • Excellent typing and spelling 
  • Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees of organization.  
  • Proficient on Company-provided hardware and software.
  • Good communication skills and able to work well with others. Works well in a fast paced and detail-oriented environment.  Must be able to work independently with little supervision. Ability to maintain positive team work ethic
  • Ability to multitask numerous projects and priorities.  Must be well organized, give attention to detail, and be flexible to shifting priorities.
