What You Will Do
The Technology and Strategy Leader (M6) will determine how technological equipment and facilities function in the manufacturing environment under the Rotor Core Value Stream. The position is responsible for the development and implementation of the rotor core value stream technology roadmap, driving technology innovation implementing critical initiatives for value stream performance. In addition, the Technology and Strategy Leader will act as the coordination point with central RTX and P&W engineering and technology resources, and alignment with DT strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Part processing technology (new machines, new manufacturing strategies, etc.)
Early MRL Capital deployment management
Manufacturing and Technology portfolio management (MRL0-4)
Strategy roadmap and management
Risk mitigation strategy management
Sub-scale and early process development
Industry benchmarking
Travel 10-20% (travel to Clayville, NY and East Hartford, CT as needed)
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor’s Degree and 12+ years of experience in Program Management, Digital Technology, and/or Engineering; OR an Advanced degree (MS/MBA) and 10+ years of relevant experience.
5+ years of leadership experience working with business leaders, influencing effectively across all levels of the organization.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer
Engineering degree and a background in either Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or Process Improvement.
Experience with capital acquisition process, and deep understanding of automation, robotics, machining and cutting-edge technology used in advanced aerospace manufacturing environments.
Experience with metallurgical technology.
Organizational and project management skills; PMP certification preferred.
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE)
Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization including senior level management.
Demonstrated ability to work and motivate internal/external customers and cross-disciplinary team members.
