What the role is:
In this role, you will work along a highly talented team of analyst to build reporting and monitoring solutions to track key business metrics and support the workforce optimization activities.
You will be responsible for understanding the business need for reporting and monitoring of their workforce plans and developing intuitive, best in class, data-driven solutions leveraging the best tools for the job. You would work very closely with GWFO’s technology partners in getting these solutions implemented in a compliant environment.
You would be an SME in the group, supporting and mentoring the team on technical solutioning and should be ready to lend your hand to juniors when needed.
Overview
This role is crucial for transforming complex data into actionable insights, driving informed decision-making, and fostering a data-driven culture. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business intelligence, reporting, and data visualization, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for mentoring.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep, and other visualization tools to meet business requirements.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from various sources for reporting and analysis.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business challenges, translate them into analytical problems, and deliver effective data solutions.
Mentor junior analysts, provide guidance on best practices, and oversee complex BI and reporting projects from inception to completion.
Drive initiatives to improve data quality, reporting efficiency, and analytical capabilities across the organization.
Support data-driven decision-making processes by providing timely and accurate insights and recommendations.
Explore and, where appropriate, implement innovative solutions leveraging Generative AI to enhance reporting and data analysis.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- 6+ years of progressive experience primarily within the Business Intelligence and Reporting domain.
- Proven expertise in designing and developing dashboards and reports using Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep, and other industry-standard visualization/reporting
- tools.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, including experience with complex query writing, performance tuning, and data manipulation.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) industry is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of Python/PySpark for data manipulation, scripting, and advanced analytics is a significant plus.
- Experience or strong interest in leveraging Generative AI in the reporting and analytics space.
- Working experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, including VBA).
