We are seeking an experienced and driven Leader to oversee the balance sheet reconciliation for a portfolio of accounts. This is a role that combines process ownership, technical accounting expertise and stakeholder engagement.

About the role:

  • Perform detailed review and sign-off of complex, high-value, or high-risk reconciliations, ensuring full compliance with IFRS/local GAAP, internal controls and SOX frameworks
  • Define and enforce reconciliation standards, documentation requirements, and quality thresholds across the team
  • Other month end tasks including execution of the P&L cost assurance activities by aligning business unit segment support
  • Oversee the full month-end and quarter-end close cycle, managing workload allocation, timelines, and escalations
  • Serve as the primary point of escalation for unresolved reconciling items, driving resolution with business owners, controllers, and other stakeholders
  • Manage relationships with internal and external auditors, coordinating audit support and ensuring findings are addressed promptly
  • Lead or support the implementation of process improvements and automation within BlackLine and SAP S/4HANA to enhance efficiency and control
  • Partner with key stakeholders (controllers, business, DSIG/FP&A etc.) to provide balance sheet commentary, variance analysis, and insights
  • Support the CAO organization in special projects, system enhancements, and finance transformation initiatives

About you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification strongly preferred
  • 6-10+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 4 years in a team lead or supervisory role
  • Deep expertise working with ERP system, including subledgers (SAP S/4 HANA preferred)
  • Advanced, hands-on experience with reconciliation software (BlackLine preferred)
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS ; experience with SOX compliance is a significant advantage
  • Excellent English communication skills — both written and verbal — with the ability to present to and influence senior stakeholders across regions
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills; experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools is a plus
  • Practical experience applying AI /Automation tools (including Microsoft Copilot, generative AI platforms, Power BI or similar) to drive efficiency, improve reconciliation quality, and reduce manual effort across the team. Ability to evaluate AI-generated outputs with appropriate professional skepticism and ensure outputs meet internal control and audit standards.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop a team in a multinational or shared services environment
  • Calm and decisive under pressure, particularly during close periods
  • Strategic thinker who can balance day-to-day operational demands with longer-term process and people development goals
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and cross-cultural communication skills
  • Confident leader who leads by example and fosters a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
