Finance Manager (Bilingual English & Japanese speaking)

We are seeking a Finance Manager (Bilingual English & Japanese Speaking) to partner with commercial and operational teams to drive strong financial planning, forecasting, and performance management. This role supports Japan and overseas stakeholders and will play a key part in revenue optimization, billing governance, and cross-functional financial operations.

About the Role
In this opportunity as a Finance Manager, you will:
- Support sales, revenue, and expense planning, monitor actual performance, and guide stakeholders to meet targets.
- Manage forecasting and analyze gaps between forecast and actual results (variance analysis).
- Advise on pricing strategy and revenue optimization initiatives.
- Maintain and support commercial and other relevant policies.
- Partner with the billing team in Japan and overseas sites to manage invoicing, overdue issues, and validate accounting matters.
- Lead sales compensation planning and related processes.
- Support accounts payable and direct debit operations.
- Support the controllership and tax teams upon request.
- Provide urgent support to the Japan operations team, including English call interpretation when needed.
- Make recommendations that may shape operational strategies and improve business outcomes.
- Address business needs and concerns promptly and professionally.

- 商取引およびその他関連ポリシーの維持・運用支援
- 日本および海外拠点の請求(Billing)チームとの連携による請求書発行、滞留/延滞対応、会計上の事項の確認・妥当性検証
- 営業報酬制度の計画策定および関連プロセス主導
- 買掛金および口座振替業務の支援
- 経理統括および税務チームへの依頼に応じた支援
- 日本オペレーションチームへの緊急支援(必要に応じた英語通訳を含む)
- オペレーション戦略の形成や事業成果の改善につながる提言
- 事業上のニーズや懸念事項への迅速かつプロフェッショナルな対応
About You
You're a strong fit for the Finance Manager role if you have:
- 5+ years of relevant experience, including managerial knowledge within a department, sub-function, or sub-business unit.
- Working knowledge of relevant industry and commercial finance drivers.
- The ability to resolve a wide range of issues through extensive training and experience.
- Basic knowledge of:
- Billing
- Accounts receivable/payable
- Direct/indirect taxes
- Tangible/intangible assets
- Fluent business-level English and Japanese (written and spoken).
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent).
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- SAP SD/MM and FICO experience (desirable).
- Strong stakeholder management across Japan and international teams
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- High attention to detail, with the ability to move quickly on urgent matters
- Confidence in communicating financial insights to non-finance stakeholders
