Nestle R&D Center, Inc. seeks a Senior Regulatory Specialist in Marysville, Ohio
Duties: Responsible for managing regulatory compliance in the early phases of R&D led projects and provide category specific technical and regulatory expertise. Support the Regulatory and Scientific Affairs (RSA) Lead and RSA Topic Owners to develop regulatory advocacy plans. Research and communicate relevant regulatory trends impacting Innovation & Renovation (I&R). Provide and manage regulatory and scientific input to product and process development within the Idea to Launch (I2L) flow including provision of Regulatory Assessments for the category ensuring design compliance. Monitor markets’ regulations changes and inform Nestle Product Technology Center Lead Team (NPTC LT) and Strategic Business Unit (SBU). Provide accurate and on-time regulatory advice to Markets and Beverage NPTC. Provide training and regulatory topics to R&D personnel. Perform initial review of proposed nutritional labels and claims for products. Domestic travel required up to 10% of time. Telework is acceptable up to 10% of time.
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's degree or the foreign equivalent in Food Science, Food Engineering, Nutrition or a related field plus Five (5) years of food industry R&D, regulatory R&D or operations experience with progressive responsible roles. Required experience must include 5 years of experience with each of the following:
- Experience in operational set-up of beverage category;
- Experience in product development from documentation to registration process;
- Experience in evaluating labels and promotional materials;
- Experience in providing guidance for business strategies for product launch;
- Experience in compliance practices considering WHO Code legislation and CODEx.
Domestic travel required up to 10% of time. Telework is acceptable up to 10% of time.
