Job Details

The Senior Manager of Corporate Action /  Income Operations provides strategic oversight and management for the Asset Servicing function, working one level below the departmental head. This role is instrumental in executing the operational strategy, ensuring robust controls, driving significant efficiency savings, and representing the team in various internal and external forums. The C12 leader champions major project deliveries, oversees talent management, and ensures the overall health and effectiveness of the processing operations, with a strong focus on people leadership and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the definition and execute the strategic roadmap for the Corporate Action / Income operations, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide visionary leadership and oversight to multiple teams (C11 Managers and their teams), fostering a culture of operational excellence, innovation, and high performance.

  • Lead and manage people within the department, including performance management, career development, and succession planning for managers and senior individual contributors.

  • Represent the Corporate Action department in various high-level internal and external forums, steering committees, and client discussions, acting as a key subject matter expert and decision-maker.

  • Drive and lead critical project deliveries related to technology enhancements, process re-engineering, and new product initiatives impacting the function.

  • Identify, champion, and implement significant efficiency savings through automation, process optimization, and strategic resource allocation.

  • Ensure the implementation and rigorous adherence to a robust control environment, managing operational risks and ensuring compliance with all internal and external regulations (e.g., local regulatory bodies, SWIFT standards, industry best practices).

  • Manage senior stakeholder relationships across operations, technology, product, risk, compliance, and client-facing teams.

  • Oversee the financial aspects of the department, including budgeting, cost management, and resource forecasting, in collaboration with the departmental head.

  • Lead talent management initiatives, including recruitment, development, and retention of key personnel, building a strong leadership pipeline.

  • Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in corporate actions, contributing to thought leadership within the department and organization.

Qualifications:

Experience
  • Minimum of 12 years of extensive overall industry experience.

  • At least 5 years of experience specifically in corporate actions operations, with a significant portion in a senior leadership role overseeing income processing.

  • Proven track record of strategic leadership, driving large-scale operational transformations, and delivering significant business outcomes.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects, efficiency programs, and technology implementations.

  • Extensive experience representing an organization in industry forums, regulatory discussions, or senior client interactions.

  • Strong experience in people management, including leading managers and developing talent.

  • Shift requirements :  Americas shift coverage.

Skills & Knowledge
  • Deep, strategic-level understanding and expertise in all facets of corporate actions, particularly income events, and their impact across the financial ecosystem.

  • Expert knowledge of global financial markets, regulatory landscape, and industry trends affecting corporate actions.

  • Exceptional leadership, influencing, and negotiation skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and drive change at all levels.

  • Superior strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, capable of addressing highly complex and ambiguous situations.

  • Excellent executive-level communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.

  • Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting, cost management, and business case development.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Advanced understanding of operational risk management frameworks and control
