Our team sends news alerts on listed companies across Europe in near real-time to our flagship product Eikon. We write short market moving stories. Our key clients are mostly international banks’ trading desks, hedge funds and asset managers. They use these alerts to make day-to-day trading decisions.
About the Role
In this opportunity as a News Reporter, you will:
Monitor statements published by Nordic public companies and apply news judgment to identify and write relevant headlines and news summaries
Follow local media, electronic news releases, conference calls and social media to spot potential breaking news
Monitor stock price movements, investigate the reasons behind them and write short bullet‑point explanation pieces
Write short alerts on Nordic macroeconomic data such as GDP and inflation
Contribute to the fact‑checking of social media content related to Nordic countries
About You
You’re a fit for the role of a News Reporter if your background includes:
Fluency in English and in one of the Nordic languages (Finnish, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian)
Strong translation skills
Strong news judgment
Ability to write with speed, clarity, accuracy and freedom from bias
A sound command of grammar, spelling, punctuation
Comfort with handling financial data and facts accurately and quickly
Knowledge of corporate activity, stock markets and financial vocabulary, or an ability to gain such knowledge quickly
Strong verification skills, including the ability to evaluate source credibility, cross‑reference information quickly, and detect inconsistencies or misinformation
An ability to work under time pressure and undertake shift work
An ability to work independently as well as a team member
Please note this is a hybrid role in Gdansk, Poland.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. For Poland, the base compensation range for this role is 77,000 PLN - 143,000 PLN. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
