NASCAR Canada Series seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Series Director.

The Series Director manages all aspects of the competition operations, providing leadership and direction to officials before, during, and after races. This position is responsible for ensuring fairness, technical parity among competitors, and strategic development of racecar specifications, including chassis, body, and mechanical systems. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and supervise competition operations, including directing officials and managing competition requirements throughout race weekends.

  • Ensure consistent rule enforcement and technical fairness among all competitors.

  • Oversee all technical inspections via the Tech Director and Race Director.

  • Guide the technical direction of the racecars, including rules development and mechanical/chassis/body standards.

  • Supervise the Race Director in the control tower and intervene with guidance as needed.

  • Schedule inspections and monitor execution through Technical and Competition Directors.

  • Manage rounds of qualifying, feature races, and post-race technical inspections.

  • Respond to questions from teams and drivers regarding rules and procedures.

  • Coordinate with teams, drivers, chassis and engine builders as needed.

  • Communicate regularly with the General Manager, weekly or bi-weekly depending on the season.

  • Keep the Communications Department updated on relevant developments and public-facing information.

  • Work closely with the Event Operations Manager to align on venue readiness, broadcast requirements, and Series partner needs.

  • Coordinate with broadcast partners and set schedules with the Event Operations Manager to meet commercial and ceremonial needs.

  • Jointly manage track visits, garage setup, and safety assessments with the Event Operations Manager.

  • Handle administrative paperwork including rule updates, event schedules, and payroll for officials.

  • Maintain electronic records including sign-in lists, event forms, schedules, and expense reports.

  • Prepare documentation for events including entry blanks, forms, and verification sheets.

  • Visit chassis and engine builders as necessary.

  • Manage competition staff schedules in collaboration with Technical and Competition Directors.

  • Ensure inventory of competition equipment is accurate and gear is in working condition.

  • Update event files weekly with all post-race documentation and notes.

  • Complete event recaps, financial reports, and race summaries.

  • Schedule pre-race calls with NCaS management, competition leaders, Event Operations Manager, and broadcast team.

  • Assist in planning for upcoming events in collaboration with the Event Operations Manager.

Required Skills and Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  

  • Proficient in all Company software and hardware.

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.

  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in alignment with the race schedule and event calendar.

  • Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to fulfilling assigned shifts and responsibilities according to the race schedule and event calendar.

  • Approximate travel: 50%
