Job Details

Overview:

Under close guidance or direction by Quality Labs leadership, the Quality Technician I is responsible for and implementation of electrical, mechanical, audio, and environmental tests of current and new product designs. We are looking for someone who demonstrates intense collaboration, is passionate team focused, thoughtful, fast, and disciplined in the execution of tasks

Responsibilities:

·         Conduct tests for stated criteria, involving mechanical, electrical, audio, environmental and electromechanical functions to assess compliance of Company products to specifications and quality standards.

·         Assists with the Design and fabrication of test equipment and fixtures for the testing of Company products.

·         Performs preventative maintenance on test equipment to ensure full function and operation, which involves maintaining a maintenance database and updating files.

·         Performs functional environmental testing by using laboratory, environmental, and test equipment to assess compliance of Company products to specifications and quality standards.

·         Generates test equipment documents and reports.

·         Assists with equipment repair by working with appropriate Company Associates as well as outside vendors

·         Assists with modifications to existing fixtures, programs, and equipment

·         Actively be involved in investigations and sorting when needed within the function of quality

·         Orders equipment and parts needed to maintain and repair equipment

·         Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree in Electronics
  • 0 to 2 years of experience working on assignments that are semi-routine in nature, requiring limited judgment
  • Able to develop basic audio and electronic test circuits
  • Knowledge of mechanical hand tools such as wire strippers, power drill, and wrenches
  • Basic knowledge of engineering sciences such as physics and mechanics
  • Ability to learn and apply company policies and procedures to assigned tasks
  • Ability to follow established procedures on routine work; requiring detailed instructions only on new assignments.
  • Computer literacy in the use of packaged software including Microsoft office applications
  • Ability to remain current on developing technologies which may be applicable to product testing
  • Must be familiar with Quality tools such as SPC and Pareto
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
