NASCAR Canada Series seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Assistant Series Director. This is a part-time role.
The Assistant Series Director supports the NASCAR Canada Series Director on all operational processes and procedures in the garage area.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Coordinate with the Series Director on staging and parking, garage layout, inspection order, and event scheduling.
Partner with the Series Director to distribute and communicate pre-race competitor information and handouts.
Maintain and manage the team roster within the garage area.
Oversee traffic flow, crowd control, and credential verification within the assigned garage.
Ensure the garage and pit areas are maintained in a professional manner; address issues with competitors and fans, and promptly report concerns to the Series Director.
Provide recommendations to the Series Director on best practices and operational efficiencies within the garage.
Supervise the setup and placement of inspection equipment and report maintenance needs to the Series Director.
Consistently implement inspection, pit road, practice, qualifying, impound, staging, and post-race procedures in a timely and professional manner.
Communicate garage-related and crew chief concerns to the Series Director.
Demonstrate the ability and willingness to learn and utilize new software for garage layout and race officiating.
Assume Series Director responsibilities when required.
Drive the pace car as assigned.
Support race operations and officiating duties as needed.
Approximate travel 90%.
Required skills and experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient in all Company software and hardware.
Valid Driver License
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.
Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in alignment with the race schedule and event calendar.
Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to fulfilling assigned shifts and responsibilities according to the race schedule and event calendar.
