This is a Software Engineering position at the Vice President level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.
About the role:
MARS Java VP dev - We’re seeking someone to join our Matrix Analytics Squad as a Sr. Java Developer in Advisory Sales and Distribution to develop FX payments platform for TFX business unit.
What you'll do in the role:
Communicate regularly with product leads across the technology organization and discuss opportunities for improvement to existing and future technology solutions.
Provide technical leadership and vision for software development projects.
Lead the development of new ideas and/or policies in own area.
Analyze multiple sets of information to create summaries for various stakeholders.
Review ADRs and help the team formulate software design to solve complex business workflows.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
Help junior devs to experiment with New technologies that move the system to a modern and evergreen stack.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure project success.
Represent the software engineering team in cross-functional discussions and planning sessions.
Provide technology leadership by being active participant in the Chapter meetings, guilds, hackathon etc. to foster high-performing yet innovative team.
What you'll bring to the role:
7+ of experience with: Java; Kafka; algorithms; SQL; system design; CI/CD; OOPs; scripting; distributed systems; distributed caching and Angular/React.
Experience with: DB2; Podman; Python; Machine learning; AI; functional programming; and PandQ.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Proven track record of leading high-performance engineering teams.
Advanced understanding of functional area and competent understanding of competitive environment.
Strategic planning and execution of engineering projects.
Ability to align technological initiatives with business objectives.
Strong problem-solving skills and a track record of using modern technologies to find innovative solutions.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
